Q: Stronghold locations in 1.2.4 vs 1.1?

commented: @James. We're trying to find the portal to the end. The eye of ender takes us to 1 location in the world (We've moved all over the world, and the EoE always takes us to same place). The portal location that the EoE takes us to is in the 1.1 generated region, and has not portal. If we move out into a 1.2.4 region near where the EoE takes us (less than 50 blocks) we find stronghold stuff (libraries, halls, iron bars, etc.) but they all stop at the 1.1 vs. 1.2.4 boundary. Note: We found a portal at one point, but can't refind it. :(

Like I said, he's looking for the location of the portal, not a way to fix the ender eye. Although since his real problem is the broken eye, it could be reworded to asking how to fix it.

@James I'm not suggesting we do that. I'm suggesting we re-word it to not be a duplicate. It's currently a duplicate question, although not a duplicate problem.

The question needed be reworded to reflect his problem, which is that his eye of ender is no longer working.

@James I don't think you're understanding this correctly. He's asking why his ender eyes aren't taking him to his strongholds like they're supposed to.

Where should the portal be? Well it should be right there.. but since right there was generated with an algorithm that he is no longer using. Its not

Q: Is there any advantage to upgrading elemental damage when normal damage has a higher increase?

At the moment, I'm getting staffs with stats like 100 normal damage and 50 elemental damage. When upgrading, I normally get a choice between adding on 9-10 elemental damage or 10-12 normal damage.
