So, someone pays for it then submits the receipt to us and we reimburse.

the problem with spec'ing for game servers is that there's a lot of voodoo knowledge about what's required, and the specs change from version to version and with mods, number of players, etc

Peter Grace is also consulting with us, and I believe he's talking to David from CHAOS, potentially about this, today.

So, I get Disgaea 4. Pop it in the PS3. Now it tells me I need to download a 2.4 gig patch. And for some reason my PS3 is going to need 6 hours to do that.

@Sterno That is excessive unless the patch is a compliation of 100 patches over the course of the games lifespan.

I don't know if it's actually why but a lot of DLC has been released

but yeah I assume all the content is in patches and then the actual DLC is just an unlock code

Ohhhh, there are online components, so I guess they have to download the DLC

otherwise you might have missing models when you see other players

But, as I've learned, if you really want to play a PS3 game right when you open it, unplug it from the internet and just play it. Which is dumb, but I did it for ME3 and let it patch later

Technically it's more like 2.3. It's 2334 megabytes which if I remember the math right, means stick a decimal in there and go down a little bit. :P

The stories aren't very intertwined, D4 has a whole new crew, though the original cast returns as bonus characters

I think you'll like the new gameplay systems better

And yeah, the DS screen would suck, I played on PSP and it wasn't so good.

And 4 has the epic HD sprites

Q: Façade on Windows 7

I downloaded Façade from official site. But it seems it doesn't work properly on Windows 7. How can I run it seamlessly on Windows 7 (32-bit)? Problem: It freezes at the beggining of the game.

I wanted to play heavy rain, and it downloaded patches for an hour, and then it installed to my drive for another hour

@BenBrocka I don't know what the deal is, maybe PSN load or something? I can usually get 1MB/sec give or take from steam

and on my xbox, if the patch is 16MB, that's huge

DLC/maps/etc take a bit longer, but just to play a game? maybe 2 minutes worth of patching

@agent86 I'd think they'd have an epic CDN set up, but they do seem to have problems with the store on occasion

I forgot to mention D4 has the awesome HD sprites, so definitely
get that before 3, which is comparatively very ugly

well, I think in the future I'm going to ask Mrs. 86 very nicely if she'd put the game in and start it up and get it installing before I come home from work so that it's ready to go when I'm ready
