@GnomeSlice It isn't. Merely going to a mage doesn't get you the spell. Going to a court mage and buying it from them when your skill is of N level is how you get the spell.

Don't really see the value in replacing a wholly incorrect and unhelpful answer with the right one especially when it completely duplicates the one that's already there. Imagine if we just kept re-posting accepted answers to sop up stray up votes.

You guys don't give new users a chance to figure out how the site works and start making good contributions... you just scare them away with downvotes when their first posts aren't stellar.

For some reason, no matter what button I press on the difficulty screen on Dungeons of Dredmor, it automatically selects Dwarvish Moderation and Permadeath. Doesn't matter where I click, or whether I press up or down, etc. Hell, I can hit the back button and it moves to the Skill Select screen....

@GnomeSlice Dishonestly upvoting posts that don't deserve it though isn't good either. We look at the post, not the user. If a contribution isn't good quality, upvoting poor contributions sends the wrong message about what is acceptable here and is harmful to the site.
