Hey everybody, I'm stressed atm because I need to buy a domain + set up a database on it pretty quickly, and I have no clue where I should go for something like that.
@ArdaXi NFS requires a bit of elbow grease and at least some basic working knowledge of mysql administration. some people would rather spend the extra $5-10 and get something that's a bit more turnkey - that's the only reason I suggest it.
resources might not be obvious or handed to you on a platter, but they still may exist. Even if it's just someone in his dorm or a buddy in the campus IT dept. hosting a box that doesn't mind an extra mysql process running on it...
anyhow, in preferred order: 1) something free provided by the school or utilizing school resources 2) nearlyfreespeech 3) dreamhost/hostgator
Okay so, from my limited experience with databases our school does have a database server that we have databases on, but changes to them don't seem to persist between sessions; in other words the data disappears once the user logs off. They only seem to be usable for testing, not for serious stuff.
As I'm getting older it's getting harder to remember where I parked all my ships. I tend to leave some in systems that are likely to see action in the near future, to be able to quickly reship if the need arises.
But I'm losing track of the locations of my ships, I'd like to have a nice overview...
If i cancel an evolution. Can i evolve the same pokemon later ?
I Canceled for tests an evolution from Krokorok and now i don't know if i should capture other to get the evolution, or is there anyway to evolve him.
That's the reason why I'm stressed about this atm. After a bunch of emailing back and forth I managed to get a database set up on the server that we could use for this, only to realize that since it was behaving like this it seems useless to our purpose. We have a group meeting today and I would feel bad if after two meetings I had still failed to procure something that is essential to this project.
@Mana you might check with the admins of the server and see if there's some way to get a more persistent session. also, one thing that's non-obvious if you're used to mysql is that most of the time you have to "commit" changes to a database or they disappear - mysql doesn't tend to follow this model normally though
@Mana I think postgresql requires you to commit. so if you're logged in interactively and you make a new database or tables, and you don't do a "commit" command afterwards, if might not persist. give it a shot, anyhow
@Mana Huh, apparently I never killed the server that the Election Statistics site was running on before it moved to Stack Exchange's servers, so if you're in a pinch and can handle the domain name, I don't mind giving you access to that box if you only need it for a few months since there's nothing running on it now.
Should probably check into what else I've forgotten I'm paying for each month... >_>

Right now the horse only gives you speed for a gameplay improvement, but in next versions now that the fight system is corrected, it will increase your damage and we are planning to give the horse a complete set of different upgrades!

I'm about level 40 with my character, and still in Act 2. I'm wondering if the storyline (Act 3 and Epilogue) finish pretty much exactly at the time you get the 50th level, or does the storyline continues for a couple of hours of gameplay after you reached the level cap?
I have completed the quest Innocence Lost and have waited for days, yet I have not received the letter from the Dark Brotherhood. Nor does sleeping for 24day intervals work. Is my game glitched, and if so is there a way to fix it such as a console command to trigger the quest.
The length of the power ups seem to vary, I assume they're based on time, but I don't know how long. Although they could be based on shots fired or be cancelled after being hit.
How long do the power ups last for?
