6:00 PM
@Sterno We just had one yesterday, dude.
Where were you?

Well, resurfaced some old drama according to @MarkTrapp.
@Sterno Make a meta saying we should ban all tech support questions.
2
That will get the drama flowing.

@ThomasMcDonald Not bad, getting a good dancetrance vibe from this.

Dwarf Fortress is way too awesome

user30
@Wipqozn meh.. been better, feel a little ill, but uni is pretty great so far

@ThomasMcDonald Have I linked you to this before? ^

6:01 PM
@ThomasMcDonald What are you studying in Uni.?

There was a Gremlin bowman in my fortress and one of my swordsdwarfs charges him, dodging arrows as he runs, and slams into him, throwing him back into the spears of the other two soldiers coming up behind the gremlin

user30
@GnomeSlice no. Now you have.

@ThomasMcDonald Listen to it. It's fantastic, one of my favourite dance tracks ever.

user30
@Wipqozn maths & cs

user30
@GnomeSlice I love that remix of arguru

6:03 PM
@ThomasMcDonald It's good, but it's not really anything special to me, sounds like any other trance/dance artist.
This reminds me:

Q: Chat oneboxing support for Soundcloud?

GnomeSliceThis is a bit of a silly request, but since SE has recently been posting their Podcasts on soundcloud, I feel like I now have a legitimate reason to bring this up. Would implementing oneboxing support (a la facebook) for SoundCloud tracks be quite difficult? Basically, similar to the way Wikiped...

@ThomasMcDonald Actually, I liked it a little more the second time around.

Is there a time limit before you can vote to delete closed questions? If so: annoying

@TimStone YOU SUPPORTED ME
</world>
Oh man, this song is so good.
I hope I paid for this.
The only times I ever pirate songs are when I absolutely can't find any way to purchase them.
And there's a buy link for this one, so I must have done.
SO GOOD

@Sterno For 10k<rep<20k users you need to wait 2 days after it's closed.

It's now 2:07 and I still haven't started my homework.
Fuck you, internet.

I wish it was 2:07 again

6:07 PM
@GnomeSlice It's been six years and I still haven't started my homework.

user15026
@GnomeSlice You could get off the internet?

@GnomeSlice It's always ncie when I'm in another room and I see "Fuck you, internet" as the latest message in another room.

@AshleyNunn No. I need to figure out how to set up my database on a local network.
Also... get... off... the internet!?

user15026
@GnomeSlice Okay, then why are you sitting here? Eliminating distractions might work.

@Wipqozn The annoying part is that by the time 2 days have passed, I've forgotten about the question

6:09 PM
@GnomeSlice are you saying that you need to be away from chat for 30 minutes or more? :p

user15026
@Sterno Same here!

I guess I could star them and come back later

but I'm pretty sure I'm lazier than that

6:09 PM
@pixel See, if I was elected mod, I'd be more than happy to give @GnomeSlice a suspension so he could do his homework.
4

@Sterno All the more reason to get to 20k, and immediately delete all the things with extreme prejudice like I do on Meta.

@Wipqozn lol

OH MAN, IT'S A MONSTERCAT MIX

@TimStone I'm gonna go grab 15 +500 bounties real quick.

user15026
6:10 PM
@GnomeSlice Seriously, look into those extensions that block certain sties after a time length or something. Might help you, if you can't stop yourself from doing distracting things.

gogogo

I don't recognize the relevant adventure time song, but tihs is amazing.
@AshleyNunn I have one.
I often come here to beg for help with my coding though.

user15026
@GnomeSlice use it?

user15026
Okay, then just...self control, perhaps? Idk.

OH MY GOD THIS ADVENTURE TIME REMIX IS AMAZING
I don't know the original song, but IT'S AMAZING
This makes me want to watch that show again, but it probably won't be as awesome as this.

user15026
6:12 PM
@GnomeSlice Eh, not my thing.

@AshleyNunn I'm not surprised, hah.

user15026
@GnomeSlice okay then.

I didn't peg you as an 'electro' person. =]

user15026
@GnomeSlice shrugs I am an anything person, if it makes my ears happy. This does not.

Aw
@AshleyNunn I will find some that does!
What about this?
@AshleyNunn Oh, by the way, what's the original adventure time song?

user15026
6:16 PM
@GnomeSlice Like the theme song?

@AshleyNunn Oh, is that what it's a remix of?

user15026
@GnomeSlice I have no idea tbh

user15026
It didn't sound like anything to me, but I mgiht have given up

@AshleyNunn Oh.
Defender's Quest is now available on Gamersgate (and 33% off!)
@AshleyNunn Did that video I linked do anything for your ears?

user15026
@GnomeSlice It made them happy, yeah

6:18 PM
@AshleyNunn Success
@GraceNote You speak Asian, right?

...what.

:P
Just seeing if you were here.

So I just did a search for closed:1 and am starting to cast delete votes for old non-dups

There are so many things wrong with that sentence that I don't know if there's a proper punishment for me to dole out to you.
4

6:19 PM
But I don't see how this could ever be an effective way of getting stuff deleted
Unless 4 other people do it before my vote expires

@GraceNote Excellent, that's what I was going for.

@GraceNote Just punish him in the worst way imaginable.

I think we need a "CRAP TO DELETE" chatroom
where you just link stuff needing delete votes

@Sterno There is a section on the sote. One moment.

@Wipqozn That's a bit past my rank to authorize.

6:20 PM
@GnomeSlice Should be on Steam, too.

@GraceNote By the way, did you ever take a look at Vendace Records? I recommended them to you a while ago.

@Sterno here

@fbueckert IS IT!?

@GnomeSlice Supposed to be today, yeah.

@GnomeSlice Nope.

6:21 PM
@Wipqozn aha!
Wish it just showed up here

@GraceNote Ah. Well, it's a music label, but they focus on music I think you'd really like, like this, for example.
Lots of fantastic trance.

Genre is not what defines the music I like.

@GraceNote I still think you'd like a lot of their artists.
But no problem.

I thank you for the initiative and thought, but just keep in mind that I have very eclectic and bounding tastes. I'll be happy to listen but if the song doesn't click, eh.

6:23 PM
@Wipqozn Phaeleh has a new track.
@GraceNote No worries, I'm just going on my past interactions with you, you've linked to a specific sort of trance at various points before.

Too busy listening to this:

I recall linking Fractal once and being the only song I've directly linked, actually.

Maximum delete vote reached. One question successfully deleted though!

@Wipqozn Did you want us to do something with that question?

@fbueckert Be amused.

6:25 PM
@GraceNote If you don't like the training song from Mulan, you're a terrible person.

@Wipqozn Sadly, that only seems to list the 3 most recent needing delete votes, so it's not terribly effective. Or I'm doing it wrong.

@Wipqozn I'm one of those that closed it.
I've gotten my facedesk quota from it.

@fbueckert Well I wasn't posting it just for you. My zeus.

Ooh, expandable to 7! And up to 30 days. Yeah, I was doing it wrong.

Oh man, this album is going to be awesome.

What

@Wipqozn I can only speak for myself; the height of arrogance is to speak for others without their permission.
@Wipqozn He deleted the question and couldn't figure out how to get it back.
So he reposted it.

6:27 PM
@Flutter is a monster. Got it.

6:38 PM
@Ullallulloo won 47 SB while searching D

@AshleyNunn >.>
Time to search for random words...

user15026
@Ullallulloo I was searching for apartment rentals. :P

Apartment retards? I've known a few

@badp They're easy to find.
Just find people who don't work, and expect the government to pay them to do nothing.

@AshleyNunn nine!...

6:41 PM
@fbueckert that's not the kind of apartment retards I was talking about

user15026
@Ullallulloo grins Good try XD

You can be non-employed and still wash your dishes from time to time

@badp Sounds like you've got a story to tell.

@fbueckert Oh, I sure had ten months ago
It's in the chat transcript if you care but... meh

@AshleyNunn It's a Collector Bill though. Three more before tomorrow, and I get 13 bonus.

user15026
6:43 PM
@Ullallulloo I just need one more of those. Been a while since I have gotten the whole set of any though

@badp I'm gonna need a bit more to go on, because search doesn't bring up anything with Apartment for you.

@AshleyNunn My only complete set was last Thanksgiving. :P

user15026
@Ullallulloo MIne was in the Spring, I think.

@fbueckert why do you crave to know about the idiot I had in the same rent floor who neglected to wash his pans and clean the table after eating for a couple of months, systematically leaving the drain clogged

@badp Not particularly; I'm just curious.

6:45 PM
and forcing me to exclusively rely on take-away and fast foods for a month or so

@badp I had a roommate like that for a little while.

@fbueckert well, the bottom line is that I never actually discovered who the offender was, but at some point he must have left and since then the kitchen was kind of serviceable.. technically
That kitchen never socially worked as the meeting point of 14 different people from different backgrounds as it should've :(
That place is probably the lowest point of my exchange program in Amsterdam.
Oh, and we were individually "fined" €50 at the end for failing to keep the kitchen clean.
That's the other bottom line.

@badp how many of them smoked? hah I've noticed they're not good at doing dishes

@badp Be glad you never had a roommate who went broke, only told you days after rent was due, and sat on his ass for half a year before getting a job.

@fbueckert Yeah, good news is we each paid for the rent individually
so none of that shared economy crap

6:52 PM
@badp I rent out rooms to friends in the house I bought; mostly because I don't like living by myself. Don't really need the cash to pay for anything.
And one of my friends took full advantage of that fact.

what you guys are saying sounds like typical college roomates to me

@Brian Well I was in an university exchange program so my level of surprise is none
except college is somewhere between high school and university? I never really understood

@Brian The sad part is, this guy had a stable job and is older than me by about ~3 years.

user15026
I wish I had people that I could live with - when my current situation invariably ends, I am stuck either getting a place on my own (which is pricey and looking imposible) or haring with people I don't know (which gets relly tricky when you have a cat)

in US university and college may be synonymous, Its just in the name
the scope of college may be a bit more broad though

user15026
In Canada, college is generally more practical stuff (trades, etc), uni is more theoretical

We like everyone to feel special for post highschool studies down here to get more people to go :)

@AshleyNunn That's how I would classify it.
@Brian Or just to add to their personal debt. :P

@fbueckert that too

user15026
Okay, just tried DF, with the Lazy Newb pack. Had no crapping idea what was going on - the little symbols everywhere just overwhelmed me.

6:57 PM
Love hearing of the english grads with 100k in debt :)

user15026
@Brian Not going to be me.

user15026
Not even post Library School

@Brian I walked out of my college graduation with less than 10K in student loans.

I was lucky in that my parents paid for undergrad, and I tried to repay them but they wouldnt have it :(

user15026
@fbueckert I won't be quite that lucky. Would be better off if I hadn't wasted 11k on what was essentially a completely useless diploma from a career college, but eh, I am not doing so bad

6:59 PM
@AshleyNunn It helps that I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and have a knack for it.

user15026
Yeah, took me a bit to figure that out, and I need a Master's to do it.

I really don't understand the people who end up 50k in debt from college and come out with completely unemployable degrees
I mean, going a little wrong, I understand. But when you're hitting the 50k mark it seems like somewhere along the line you'd have had to evaluate your capability of ever paying it back

user15026
@Sterno Yeaaaah

@Sterno I know a TON of people who never have that thought until after they graduate
I am also cynical enough to believe that most schools do no give a crap and want your money, its not like they are getting paid in the increments you pay loans back off in.
You want a history degree? Thats fine give us money.. We arent going to tell you you are going to be asking people if they want fries with their meal trying to pay the loans off for the nxt 10 years.

@James I agree the college has very little incentive to inform you about it. But this seems like something useful they could drill into your brain in high school or something. Like when those guidance counselors are all "Hey, what career are you interested in?", maybe they could follow it up with "By the way, here's the average pay for that career, so plan college debt accordingly"

7:05 PM
It is not in a schools interest to tell you what they are teaching you has very limited usage in the current job market
@Sterno Whats more important than average pay is how long it takes to get into the job market
I love sociology and psychology but wait 5-8 years to get a nice job in that field? Eff that Programming is easy and the wait is like -5months.
:D

well interestingly enough, i heard UC berkeley was thinking of having a program where tuition was paid back in increments after you graduate and used to fund the next class, but only in the cases your degree could sustain the cost of tuition

Doesnt matter how much money the jobs will get you if you cant get a job.

at least i think it was berkeley

Stuff like this bugs me too:

@Brian Interesting rough idea but I could see some very deadly fine print in there :)

7:08 PM
It's like, WTF did you think was going to happen, dude?

@fbueckert I just had my first friendly fire

Let me just open my wallet here and hand you some cash since you worked so very hard for your Classical Studies degree. Use the cash to go learn plumbing and a fraction of the cost. People will pay you for that.

@Sterno I am dealing with 4 friends right now, one with a psych degree and 3 with art/history type degrees who are all bemoning their standing in life.

They really need to regulate who they give student loans to better

@James The weird part to me is the disconnect there (for the guy in the image, anyway) where he seems to blame America for this and not himself.

7:10 PM

@Sterno Welcome to america :)

@Sterno Yes, fuuuck. This is one of the reasons I have trouble taking the "occupy" movement seriously. It's not my job to step in because you're a dumbass. Don't waste money on a useless degree.
4

@Sterno I actually took practical degrees in college, but neither of mine actually applied to either job I got employed for.

Everyone gets told to do what they want and what they will enjoy for a living, no one bothers to actually ask if its a viable career. Will it actually support the type of life they want, etc. Everyone just assumes there is a job for what they want to do, most people just do not realize they dont need a degree to do the job they will end up getting.
2

user15026
Yeah, I made sure to structure my degree in such a way that I will have hireable skills out of it when I graduate.

user15026
7:13 PM
It's an English Degree, but in Rhetoric and Professional Writing, not Lit.

user15026
So I have options, if an MLIS doesn't happen

@AshleyNunn have an internship yet?

user15026
@James This, this, a thousand times this

@GnomeSlice What did Diga ever do to Ute?

user15026
@Brian Me? No, my degree isn't set up for that. The MLIS is, though.

7:14 PM
I want an eventual occupation in game development, and I went to a college that offered a game development major, but I opted to get my degrees in Computer Science and in Communication and Media. This makes me have much better prospects both for a nicer paying job to start off, and for getting an actual gamedev gig, than a game design degree ever would.
@James Very much so.

@GraceNote My game dev degrees got me into video games pretty easily :)

@James Congratulations, then.

@James not the case most of the time

From what I've read, most game companies don't care about game design degrees anyway.

Every recruiter I spoke to told me they would value someone with a CSCI degree much more than someone with just a game design degree.

7:15 PM
you need to either know someone or work for 20k a year for a couple years

@Brian I dunno, I have quite a few other people I graduated with that also make video games, they still do, I do not, hehe

@Sterno They mostly just care that you have experience in game development already.

It'd be kind of awesome if, when you want to college, you picked a career rather than a major.

@Sterno THey dont really, they want anydegree just to prove youc an finish something. After that they want to know what you have done in video games.. Mods and demo games are very key for moving forward.

@James Substance is always the most important thing before capability.

user15026
7:17 PM
@GraceNote Very true.

I should also note I went to a 'College' more than a 'University' in Canadian terms :)

I'd definately hire a cs major with gaming experience over a game dev major with no experience but thats just me

The basic design theory was there but you are programming 100% of the time and theory is never tested on.. Either your code does what it was supposed to do or it doesnt.. No one cared if you understood encapsulation.

I was amazed how worthless college seemed about 3 months into my actual job.
I needed the degree to get the job, but I needed very little of the learning that occurred in college.

@Brian Id rather higher a game dev major over a CS major when both of them have no experience.

7:18 PM
@Sterno i think that really depends on the college

@Brian Probably on the degree, too.

@Brian Ihave also seen way to many people with bachelors in programming that have no idea how to program but they can tell you the design pattern you should be using.

user15026
@Sterno For my career college diploma, it was even worse - I didn't need the diploma to get the job I did, they were only tangetially related.

<=- mutters about an asshole with a 4yr degree who didnt even know how to open and write to a file.

@James maybe, but cs majors can tell you why the memory and instructions work the way they do

7:19 PM
@Brian Not that ones I have ever met

@Sterno This is why job training is pretty important, but it depends a lot on where you studied and where you eventually work.

ask game devs about no ops and why branches make code slower they'll be clueless

I'm sure mechanical engineers or chemists need college a lot more than computer science majors. CS can pretty much self-learn and be better than what most college-CS programs will produce

(And it's why people should be more aware that such a thing as "job training" exists)

@Brian Not from the school I went to.

7:20 PM
@Sterno University is really about learning how to learn, and not about learning anything specifically.

@James well you went to a good school then ^5

@Wipqozn I already knew how to learn. What the heck was high school for?

@Sterno Babysitting.

I saw college more about the career fair than anything. Making connections with your target industry during celebratory events, finding internships... basically all the non-class stuff associated with college life is meant to help you get your gear in gear.

@Brian Not really. Its generally considered a degree farm. But if you are motivated in what you want to do they certainly give you all of the information.. The school just expects you to learn it on your own. INTEL architecture? Yup, all there, even consideration for multi-pipeline processing on all of your code, utilizing as many of the int/float registers as possible in one pass (so unrolling for loops manually to do chunks at a time, etc).

7:22 PM
(Irony since I never attended a single career fair and have not followed up on any of the job connections I made at college, but hey...)

College is for putting you in a financial situation where you need a job.

But it doesnt stop there, we also developed for, at the time, the PS2, the completion program I went through did assembly on the DS, etc.

I'm still not sure how my military history class or advanced physics or all the other bonus crap you have to take helped me with my CS degree. Why do we have to take all that extra useless credit-hour fluff?

Anywho, good school if and only if you are a self learner

@James I feel like you may be the exception to the overall community hah :)

7:23 PM
@James Assembly on the DS? What was this? CS Trolling 101?

That is the school i went to

Oh, you went to Full Sail. That explains it.

Consider it ITT tech for the entertainment industries.

I know a lot of happy people to come out of Full Sail, I almost considered applying to go there.

@GraceNote For video games?

7:25 PM
The people I knew were all brands of media life. Audio, video, graphics, and gaming alike. I personally was thinking of gaming.
There's a lot of synergy between students, you can rely on others at the school to cooperate and accomplish things together. So I was told, at least. It's a lot about making your start there.

@GraceNote Just heed my warning, while the dream crusher no longer works at the school I can not imagine the workload has gotten any lighter.. If you are not used to spending most of the time learning the information you are given it will be a constant uphill battle
@GraceNote Meh, that collaboration thing is a bit... oversold unless they have improved it drastically :)

@James There is no gain without difficulty. A harsh workload, especially if it is on your own shoulders to muster it, is only going to help you learn that much better, I would think.
@James I have no idea when you went there so I have no idea if my stories predate you or postdate you.

@GraceNote Very true... we had a lot of fun going through hurricane charlie and flourine when I was down there.. We got a 1 day extension on our projects simply because the school didnt have power that friday, so we came in saturday instead.. They were pretty kewl though.. school gave out food as it took 2-3 weeks for us to get power back.. the place was crowded.. every lounge was full of students working to get their crap done :D
I was there 5-7 years ago

Heh.

when all the hurricanes went through central Florida

7:30 PM
Huh. That is actually about the time period, I think, of the stories I heard. I guess my associates had better luck with finding the right allies.

@GraceNote We found 3 people in other departments that helped us out significantly
But the school did do anything more than 'Hey, check with someone in the animation department or audio programs' etc.

Yeah, this was back when I was in AQ, so, yeah, it was in the 7-8 years ago period.

Anywho.. If you go to that school and make it out with a final project (which is a demo) then you can pretty much get into the game industry.

@James I think it was less about the school's support as it was providing an environment where this kind of cooperation can happen at all, was how it was told to me by the graduates.

The school is not cheap however and I am still not sure it was worth the price.
@GraceNote Yeah that is true.
The school is very much a gathering of extremely like minded people which makes it all possible :)
Definitely go there instead of Digipen

7:33 PM
Heh.

Only other school I would maybe consider looking into aside from Fullsail for games is whichever school runs Guild Hall.. its name is escaping me right now.

As it stands, I already have two degrees. The resources available there would be handy, but going there would effectively amount to ditching a very serviceable career that already offers me comfortable room to work on side projects.

I spent a bit of my time at fullsail emailing teachers at guild hall back and forth :)
@GraceNote Hehe, I had 2 associate degrees before I went to fullsail and got a third associate and then a bachelors from em :)

I don't actually know what an associate degree is.

2 years, like a minor i guess?

7:36 PM
@Ullallulloo Olga, isn't it?

@GraceNote I have 3 2yr degrees and 1 4yr degree. 3 of them in computer science, two of them specializing game development and one of the 2yrs in psychology.

But yeah, I have no idea, Ute sure looks like she knows what she's doing there.

@GnomeSlice Ah, yeah, that makes more sense.

@James Ah. Gotcha. Shiny. So, is that 6 years or 8 years you actually studied, and were they back-to-back?

@GraceNote I was in colleges for 6 years (mostly cause I was bored :D)

7:37 PM
@fbueckert I FINALLY am able to produce human projectile weapons in my workshop. I was really running out of ammo.
Although the mining lasers are actually pretty good.

@GraceNote I did take a year off some where in there.. Very fed up with slow as hell schools.. another reason Fullsail appealed to me.. each class was pretty much a month long
By the time I was bored with a class, it was over :D

@GnomeSlice That's projectile weapons designed by humans and projectile weapons that project humans, right?

I see, I see. I'm still not comfortable jumping into a new school when I'm three years out of the environment.

@Ullallulloo What?
Also, do you know how to use the Doppler Scanner?
I've got it in my hand, but it doesn't appear to do anything.

@GraceNote Take a weekend to tour the school if you get the time.. I can honestly say out of all the schools I have been too (attended 3 toured 6 more) there is not another school like it really

7:39 PM
@James You wouldn't be the first to honestly say that, haha.
One of my coworkers at my first job had a son who went there as well, in addition to the netizens I met while I was in high school back in ~2004 or so.

@GraceNote was going down for a visit that secured my decision to go there.. cost as much as a 4yr school and was at the time only a 14month program :D

I do remember the speed being a very nice thing.

The other thing that secured me going there was looking at the demos that came from Digipen.
God they sucked.. the games that came out of fullsail were awesome
Hell, we would go and watch the final project presentations each month

Though if anything, that makes me leery of going there anytime soon because I'm... a might bit rusty on the coding end of things.

2-3 months before we hit final project one of the teams had a group of 3 guys that recreated the farcry engine.

@Sterno RebeccaBlack.SE Area51 Proposal: Go

@GraceNote do not skip classes if you go there.

@James Skipping classes sounds like a dumb idea no matter where you go.

Q: Why Hecarim don't trust Mordekaiser?

iberOn League of Legends Wikia I found out that Altair on new Twisted Treeline say to Heckarim "Mordekaiser is not to be trusted, Hecarim!" Why? I can't find anything in their lore about their past relationship.

@GraceNote Kids go there straight from high school the intro courses will get you back up to speed (C++, then data structures)
But more importantly, you start weeding out people you do not want to get stuck in the final project team with :)

@Lazers lol, wut

7:43 PM
@GnomeSlice I haven't played it.
I have Aftermath though.

Heh. It's more the logic of engine design that I'm concerned about. Probably the largest obstacle I've been having as of late is that.

You could ask it on the site.

@Ullallulloo Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were @fbueckert

@GraceNote Then you are so far ahead of most of the people you will be working with you should have no fear
They do not teach .. or did not teach, an overall engine design class there
I do have some vague recollection of not paying attention in a class that might have touched on the subject.. but it was one of the newer classes if I recall.

@James Issue for me is that without an engine, you're in emptiness and void. I have nothing to build off of to work everything. No matter how much work I do on mechanical algorithms and logic for how I want the gameplay to work, it is meaningless if I can't write an engine to support it.

7:46 PM
@GraceNote Making games that complicated is at the end of it all .. you will have plenty of time and other people to work with on things like that.
You will spend most of your time working on small projects, writing API wrappers, making pong, simple networking, AI pathfinding logic, etc.
There are classes about half way through where you start doing all the classics and just add in new APIs and such to them as you go long (asteroids, space invaders, etc)

@James Beginning projects are always about less complexities. I prioritize my projects by complexity and place the simpler demands to be worked on earlier because being able to accomplish those at all is what will lead to being able to make the more complex ones.

@Lazers This question's accepted answer is there is no answer yet...

Its not really until you get to the final project that you will ever really need a system as complicated as to call it an 'engine' :) and most of what you do along the way will build up little bits and pieces of it.
@GraceNote From everything you have said the school would likely be a good fit for you..

@GrayStoat The only possible question would be "Should I sit in the front seat, or kick it in the back seat?"

Mmhmm.

7:50 PM
Your expectations are realistic so your achievements would be realistic... That is the kind of person who would do very well at a school like that.

That is reassuring to hear.

Just got back from lunch.
What did I miss?

Also: Nothing.

@Sterno For a second there, I thought you were telling me to drag the Arqade logo up.
And I did, actually. Ran through the messages.

@fbueckert Yeah, I was also confused

Also, you have an Inbox button?

user15026
@fbueckert It's one of the scripts @agent86 made.

@fbueckert Same.

user15026
It's called SE Chatterbox (at least, that's what my Chrome extensions list calls it)

Q: ChatterBox - user script that adds inbox integration to Stack Exchange Chat!

agent86 Screenshot / Code Snippet About I like Stack Exchange Chat, and with the feedbots it tends to be pretty easy to keep up with what's going on with the site. Except for one thing - my inbox. So I wrote this UserScript that adds an "inbox" button with auto-refresh to the chat interface. ...
