Quake 4 had limited leveling for a few weapons

For example, the rocket launcher would be upgraded to fire 3 rockets at once

The railgun would be upgraded to zoom and fire penetrating shots IIRC

The nailgun would be upgraded to have nails home on targets

(...and that was it)

so I guess levelling up gives you this kind of bonuses

Q: What's that game: Dwarfs digging for jewels

There was a RTS game from the mid-late 90's (I think a DOS game), where you had some kind of creatures (dwarfs?) digging for jewels in a "dungeon" build out of hexagons(?). It seemed like a early predecessor of dungeon keeper. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name or any more details. Anyone?

arena_harvest_v2 is one of the easier maps to find props on in TF2 (yes, they have prop hunt configs for some arena maps). It has a correspondingly short timer, though.

Some maps have really cheesy hiding spots. ph_manor has a pile of books prop that can hidden almost completely inside one of the map's existing props.
