That was an issue when I had 128MB RAM. It's not an issue when I have 8192MB RAM.

@Powerlord It's geared towards individuals and the terms of services prohibit the sharing of games bought through the system. Works fine if you are the only gamer. Not if you share all of your wealth with your sibling. I think it's an excellent system, just incompatible for me.

I didn't think it was that common to share things with your siblings once you were out of high school. I know I certainly didn't.

@GraceNote With MMOs, you don't have much of a choice... you can only have one person logged on to an account at a time.

I don't think you're ever going to find a Steam-like that allows you to do that btw

although - you could install your Steam games on a computer, switch to offline mode, install your Steam games on the other computer and switch to offline mode. Now you "can" play at the same time on two different computers.

It'd at least let you play through HL2 or other classics.

That said, only grab them if you're really into the genre. We're not at DoDonPachi level difficulty overall, but it's still not a game series to get into if you don't have the patience.

I think my biggest problem is that I look at the wiki article, get overwhelmed as to where to start and then never get around to it. :(

Also it would probably be a while before I could play you, which disappoints me. That's the problem that sometimes shows up with introducing people into fighting games - it doesn't really work out too well...

@FallenAngelEyes Well, remember that the first 5 games are on the PC-98, so you probably won't ever touch those. Getting past that, first game is Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, and you just work up there for chronological order. The guy only makes one game a year so you should be able to catch up with some level of dedication.

And then you need to play Touhou Fortress 2.

(a mod for TF2 that replaces all the classes with Touhou characters)

Also my achievements pale in comparison to yours, haha. I only have 103.

@FallenAngelEyes Well, the balance is constantly changing. Still, for a lot of classes, the default items and first unlocks are still viable loadouts.

Pyro's best melee is still the Axtinguisher, for instance.

In fact, of the new weapons, the only ones that are clearly improvements are the Spy's Enforcer (but only when used with the Dead Ringer) and the Sniper's Machina.

Wait, you said post store... Whoops. I should add the Sniper's Bushwacka melee weapon to that list, too.

@ArdaXi The original joke with the kickle weasel was a pun off of "sickle weasel", a mythical Japanese creature. Sometimes, a person will be wandering the woods, when a harsh wind knocks them down. They'll get up, and notice they've got a gash that they didn't even feel nevermind knew about.

This is due to the Kamaitachi (sickle weasel), weasels that ride the wind and carry sickles. They act in groups of three - one knocks the person down, the second cuts them, and the third applies medicine to remove the pain and feeling from the wound.
