I tried to install mame on Linux, and the icons appear inside the game folder (xmame, xmame, sdl, xmame.x11) but none of them would run. What is the problem?
The cutscene that the "Mighty Being" (if I remember right) come out and rise the water, it is time-wasting! Is there anyway to skip its cutscene, while keeping the water rising?

I am on the last mission of GTA 4 - Out of Commission (PC) and cannot finish due to the bug with getting on the helicopter.
I have read some terrible hacks to get it to work e.g. use Fraps, but that doesn't even seem to work in all cases.
Is there a definitive fix for this?
@ArdaXi I'm hoping they release it at the end of the summer sale as a nice closure to it. Portal 2 Co-op buddy and I wish to play more portal 2 co-op and all.
Also, the MNC achievement was easy to get once I'd leveled Air Strike to level 3. If you manage to hit someone with the Air Strike beacon, it sticks to them. :)
Anyway, in Spiral Knights, doing any crafting at level 3 or above pretty much requires Crystal Energy, doesn't it?
@Powerlord that's why I have not even bothered with it. It caught my attention at first, but when @badp started talknig about how they did the floor system I was turned off
because by the sounds of it Spiral Knights would cost you a bundle in...well, the short run :/ I was going to say long run, but 3000 energy for $10 would add up quickly by the sounds of it
The only ones I have games for still are Beat Hazard (no way, I don't even play the game), Magicka (idem) and MNC (which I got after I ran out of tickets).
Then SpaceChem, then AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, then Defense Grid then Portal 2 and Killing Floor.
@FallenAngelEyes Their problem just appears to be lack of visits. They have 'Excellent' in everything except questions and visits.
They should consider switching it's name to "Hobby Gaming" or something along those lines. Which would cover board games, war games (warhammer, et cetera), and trading card games
"Card Games" sounds like it is orientated more towards hearts, poker, et cetera then magic, et cetera
Same argument that people tried to apply for video-game specific SE's and us, pretty much.
From what I've read, the Go and Poker players have other sites and they're reluctant to leave those and join BCG because of apparent lack of expertise level and focus.
Which I think is kind of a moot point because if you start feeding those expert-level questions into the engine, the expert-level answers will grow organically, like what's happened here.
I just don't see the huge problem with having a larger umbrella site. It worked well for us. Using the tagging system, you can focus on your interests.
Granted, I also remember thinking that Steam took up too many resources (this was back when RAM was still a premium) just for a glorified game manager. Can't remember if it had friends lists back then or not.
I hate being the kind of bored where you sit there and just keep refreshing the various feeds you follow because of that whole must have new information! tick.
Fun fact: When I was about... lets see... 6 years old or so, I borrowed the extra key to a neighbors house and essentially broke in... to play Super Mario Bros. on their NES (before I got my own in '86)

I've seen the terms "zone" and "anti-zone" used in regards to moves, as well as discussion about whether or not a character is a good "zoner" or has a good "zoning game."
What exactly does this term mean? Is it movement speed, avoidance ability, a combination of the two or something else?
