Arena as Engy is definitely Gunslinger time.

Hell, even koth_nucleus is almost always Gunslinger time, just to harass the other team while they're capping center point.

I really wish Valve would start going back and fixing the maps that are missing nobuild zones on top of buildings and stuff. koth_nucleus and pl_badwater are especially bad about this. pl_frontier_final can be pretty bad about it as well.

And frontier doesn't have an excuse, as it's post-Engineer update.

When 1 unreachable sentry gun can cover half of the center area, including the entire control point, that's a problem.

Seriously, the only way we even won one round is because myself and another Spy managed to keep them from ever keeping a teleporter up.

No teleporter = no pulling a sentry through to the upper area.

Yes, a million times yes to all of the above comments about nobuild. However, I really think the issue is sentry jumping.

I don't even think they considered that when making the Wrangler. "Control your own sentry gun!" is a well and good mechanic that added to the game.

"Getting injured by your own rockets" is an interesting way to kill an Engineer who is dumb.

The two together? Not so good, as rockets do knockback.

and thus was born sentry jumping, a mechanic I doubt Valve ever intended to be in the game, particularly after listening to the commentary nodes on cp_gravelpit.

At least I think it's cp_gravelpit's commentary nodes that talk about how Soldiers (and demomen?) can rocket (/sticky) jump to get up to upper areas, but those areas rarely have health, so there's a trade off.

It's weird. If you look in events and things, some events have the team number sent as an unsigned byte, others as a short.

Short sends "all players" as -1, byte sends "all players" as 255.
