@Zaid I just like the way you spelled "evar" ... cuz that's so trendy. Word to yo Moms!

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 "Dood" you have a daughter? I'm jealous and scared. I always thought I wanted one of those, but alas I was incapable. Of having one and dealing with same. Does she get to drive your projects? All of them? Woof! When you have a daughter, you are absolute GOD until maybe 11 or 12 or 13... then you become lower than whale poop under the Marianas trench.
No fear: you might regain some cred around 18 or 19 when money is needed. You have always been super impressive; I just didn't realize you had a daughter gulag to run as well....
I have two sons which is plenty enough. Especially because they actually are my sons... and it's incredibly difficult to punish them for their various sins while staring into a mirror.
@SteveRacer how's it going?
Actually, quite different and exciting. Being employed is always a plus. Being employed in interesting things is a super plus. If I live to be 100, I might end up happy. To quote the Grateful Dead, :I'm enjoying the ride..."
I'm plotting a giant black smoke diesel crammed into a Subaru, "Welderup" style.
@SteveRacer Any particular reason to go diesel?
07:53
None other than the iconoclast black smoke roll and the complete arrogance of just saying "so what?"
Not that at my age I will ever get there... BUT... I can still dream. It just suits my fantasy. It is art because the "function" is so abrasive as to have no purpose... other than to be super bad-ass functional "art". Clearly that makes no sense - so don't remind me.
I guess the Mad Max-esque theme is an acquired taste. It's definitely not grown on me yet

And you can't get a Ford-Holden Falcon now for a million bucks. You don't have to ascribe to a certain cult. My take is I just want to drive cars than make people gasp... in delight or horror ... the distinction is moot.
The beauty is you can create something grounded and personal for far less money than a bespoke race car with lights and license plates, no Atom, no Konegesgeggege, no Veyron, not even a new Corvette.

Yes, completely "Mad Max" excessive horse feathers. But I would ask you: If the studio approached you with a large check and plenty of time, could you build it? There's still a certain art to it. A vehicle creation that evokes whatever angst or passion must be considered art.

@SteveRacer - She will get to drive them as they (both car and her) are available, if she wants to drive them. I'd let my 26yo son do the same, but he's in the Army, so his availability is pretty slim.
@SteveRacer - Having a daughter isn't that bad when they get older. My daughter is a little high strung sometimes, but she always comes back to hug on Daddy. I've always been her favorite parent, no bones about it. She still goes to talk the girly stuff with Mom, but she knows she has me wrapped around her little finger, so knows Dad is where it's at, lol.
@SteveRacer - Rolling Coal! Absolutely. I like this cover by 5FDP.
