@BobCross - Give me about a month or two until I can get mine ... then I just might!

would increased bounciness and eventual "bottoming-out"/slamming of the suspension against the stops be consistent with worn air chambers/air springs in an air suspension system, or would that be more likely to be due to some other part that's slowly going south?

@Shalvenay - What's the car we're talking about?

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 seems to be a consistent theme on the city buses where I live (Gillig Phantoms up until recently, and Low Floors as well. the new stuff we're getting in is New Flyer, although I suspect some of it might be going the same direction the old stuff did)

I mean it could be. Usually when air springs go bad, you see it where the body gets very close to the tires and the bottom to the ground.
And I'm sorry I'm going to have to leave you ... time to go to bed. Gotta get up in the morning to go to work ... great fun!

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 yeah, noted.

Have a great evening (or whatever time of day it is where you're at :o)

Q: Boost control using two valves with a vac and boost reference for wide boost control range

rolls Can someone explain how the above boost control setup would work. The valve on the left uses a vac source applied to the top of the diaphram which would effectively help hold the spring closed at high boost levels providing high boost than a single valve setup would. I assume this would be used...

I think this is a great question, by the way. Someone with some more turbo smarts than I is going to have to speak up on it! :o)

yeah, the reason I ask re: bus suspensions is that the busses where I live seem to have a habit of rattling themselves to bits (loose connectors, interior fitting breakages, coolant and refrigerant leaks, probably air leaks too) due to the suspensions going downhill

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Agreed.. I think it's a good question, I do think it would benefit from providing the specific model information though. There's a comment saying it's from a "Skoda 1.9L" but that doesn't really narrow it down enough.

@Shalvenay - It's probably just due to the fact they are pounded to death ... and maintenance be darned.
@motosubatsu - Yah, a little bit more would be awesome.
