Is Ca+2 the same as Ca2+?
I wonder why they use the notation +2 instead of 2+

Calcium can often function as a "secondary messenger" in the cell. Basically the hormone's agent, doing its dirty work in the cell.
There are no other forms of calcium that I know of except the 2+ ion in the human body
(chemical form, the biological associations can be diverse)
