@GuruVishnu hello :) I'm happy to listen to whatever you have to offer.

Q: Why Zn has highest ionisation enthalpy in 3d series?

GraceZn which has the highest ionisation enthalpy in 3d series. The reason given in my textbook is: The value of zinc is higher because it represent ionisation from 4s level. This is not correct because for every 3d element ionisation is from 4s orbital. The explanation I found for this is from t...

Q: What is the difference between quantities reported as optical rotation and circular birefringence?

danielOptical activity gets complicated quickly and the following question is intended to avoid threshold confusion. The linked lecture note* seems very accessible to me and Table 10.6 in particular is quite clear. On page 2 the author writes, "Optical rotation results from circular birefringence..." a...

@user8718165 Hi. I'm sorry. I just wanted to know whether I understood your question properly. I also have/had the same doubt and so I don't have anything to offer. I think it's better to post/search a question on the main site or wait for someone experienced here.
For the time being, I've registered it as an "experimental fact".

@Mithoron: Hi. With respect to your comments below my question - [Is the active mass of every solid and liquid taken to be unity?](https://chemistry.stackexchange.com/q/127202/81509) : Thank you for sharing those questions. They were really useful and informative. I agree all are very closely related. But I think this exception is not being addressed anywhere.
Could you tell starting a bounty for one of the questions with my doubt in the bounty message solve the problem? (I haven't faced such issues on other sites)

@GuruVishnu Thing is all this is based on misunderstanding and I think you didn't got it. It's not that activity is 1 - it's not, but if it remains approximately constant it can be taken into k or whatever you use as constant in equation describing kinetics, that's pretty much this.
I wouldn't put bounties on such questions. If there's some misunderstanding or like anything that undermines the question, using bounty may be a waste of rep.

Searching on site is considered difficult. Unless you know that the stuff you search is there, you can search for half an hour for sth that isn't there.
And here I thought there was some post with tips on searching, but can't find it :D
Well there's
but this is rather generic, about mechanism on site. Google also can be used but it lacks aforementioned mechanism. On the other hand, it can manage with misspelling etc.
