Q: How to determine the order of acidity of the following phenols

AbhigyanC I was solving some questions, and I came across this one. This is how I went about it, although I got a wrong answer: (2) shows the nitro group to be sterically hindered, due to which it should go out of plane and this will be an example of the steric inhibition of resonance. @M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ Doesn't every government do stupid things ;-P But yeah, thanks for the info about the current situation there.
Over here, the code words used to initiate anti-government rants are "GST" and "demonetization" ;-)
@hBy2Py Well, there was something on Chem.SE about "destroying gold" and the "magical properties of sulfur"... O:)

@paracetamol 🙃
GST was a good move

Lesson from traveling: if only bringing an iPad and not a laptop...buy an iPad keyboard just to edit on Chem.SE

@pentavalentcarbon well
Mobile editing is not thaaaaat bad

@AvnishKabaj Are you kidding? I think it’s absolutely terrible. I think it’s bad even in a web browser. I almost always copy the text to a text editor, edit, then paste it back.
I need my special keyboard shortcuts.

@pentavalentcarbon o.O
Shortcuts
Nothing for us mobile peasants
I’m the fastest editor in the west, but only with my specific setup...maybe I should be embarrassed.
I don’t know how people can just click around all the time
Plus on mobile you don’t have any specially characters without a bunch of extra tapping, and autocorrect is bad for science
