@Donald.McLean I've been trying to figure out myself. I wrote some docs for C++ stream insertion/extraction operators (in response to a request for documentation about operator overloading that mentioned stream insertion and extraction), but no matter what title I give it, when I try to submit it for review, it claims that the title wasn't changed from the placeholder text.

Can anyone explain why I can't edit this example: docs-beta.stackexchange.com/documentation/asp-classic/457/…
upon clicking the edit icon all that happens is this:
i.e. a blue box appears around the sample
but no markdown editor
this is on google chrome 49.0.2623.112 m

same for me on Firefox
the editing panel appears for a moment but then disappears right away

@Kev I wrote it just as a test for the versioning stuff I'm guessing that is now killing the edit render for some reason...

is docs supposed to duplicate information already present in answers? i.e. if there is a canonical answer for a topic already, is that supposed to be ported into the docs, or are the docs supposed to reference that answer?

Those are placeholders for ads. If you have rep on SO, they won't show up after launch.
