hi
02:00
sorry to be off-topic, but review-please is somewhat dead right now. I have a few outstanding things at docs-beta.stackexchange.com/documentation/…
I think you did some nice improvements and approved them
Thanks :)

Could we take a look at this question? Bash documentation is kinda paused until we handle it: docs-beta.stackexchange.com/questions/879/…
@DonyorM: is there not a tag?
I added an answer with my 2¢.
I have a similar question about vs. vs. . Maybe I'll ask it as a formal Question.
05:38
Do people feel the "tag home page" is useful right now?

It's useful, though the action list will be more useful when we stop creating as many whole topics and have more edits
I'm not convinced that Requested Topics and Need Improvement really belong as the top two sections (once docs are launched into the real world)

The whole UI doesn't emphasize the topic list as much as I'd expect. It seems very directed at contributing, not just browsing.
07:34
^ I think that's the point. This part is for creating, it might change later
It does make sense for the beta period, but it might confuse "real people"

I used CURL to suggest an edit that should un-break this broken topic.
12:21
Is there a way to suggest two topics be merged?
Anonymous
I don't think there's any built-in way. You'd probably be asked to post a Question on meta (or docs-beta, currently).
Ok, I'll do that.

Hmm... I'm not sure how "Move Examples" works.
docs-beta.stackexchange.com/documentation/proposed/changes/… do you guys think like the reviewing guy? is it really a bad example?
Anonymous
I wonder if it requires review, or instantly moves them from one topic to the other.
12:28
Where do you see "Move Examples?"
Anonymous
Ahh, I see.
Do you think I should move CSS Typography into CSS Fonts or vice-versa? I prefer the Typography title personally, as it implies more than just setting a font.
Anonymous
That makes sense. I like "Typography".
Ok, I'll go with it.
Can I or should I mention an stackoverflow answer if I based one example on it?
If yes, where in the answer can I mention and link the post?
12:52
*where in the example

Nice idea to put bounties on question during beta ... will the programmers be tempted by the rep? :-)

@0rkan I think you should, yes. You'd give credit to the original author of the answer that way, and it also gives the reader more information if they want it, in the answer itself and other answers on the question.
I've got exams tomorrow, wish me good luck :-)
18:57
Not even edited a little.
19:40
congrats, you've peaked :P

Howdy people! Is there a way to modify the tag title, I noticed C# is "C# Language Documentation" - we have "xamarin.ios Documentation", which is OK but would love to get some capitlization going so "Xamarin.iOS Documentation" and same for "Xamarin.Android" / "xamarin.android"
23:12
@NathanArthur Too much leet
@JonasCz Good luck! Tomorrow my routine of work + college will begin again. Yay...

Q: Renaming a Documentation tag?

JonasCzI think it would be nice to have some way to "rename" Documentation tags. Some of the tags on Docs currently have somewhat "bare" names, with only the tag name, and all lowercase, and some other tags could do with a name change, eg "Regular Expression" could be renamed to "Regular Expressions", ...

Anonymous
I would like to rename "Javascript" to "JavaScript".
23:28
Got it! Looks like I'll need to wait till it shows up on Stack Overflow to get the rep to do that
Anonymous
We see Stack Overflow offline, investigating.

Bringing Stack Overflow (and the rest of the network) out of read-only now.
