@Old_Lamplighter It's extremely common to see "designed" resumes these days. Fancy layouts and graphics, sliding bars for skills and whatnot. It sort of has the same effect but as long as it doesn't detract from the content I'd say it's fine.
But the old advice of colours to distinguish your printed CV from the pack, yeah that's been dead for years, ;)
I prefer a more minimalist design for my resume, especially since I don't really have the space to waste on fancy graphics. But they do add some colour.
But you really don't want to be the person in the interview who stands out because of the fancy resume rather than the impressive profile.
@AIQ Ooh, congrats. And good luck. Not a bad place to work from what I've heard. Are you pursuing B4s and consulting then?
