@Tinkeringbell Certainly seems to be a troll post, all the more so after the OP's clarification. Her response to every suggestion or request for clarification seems to be, "no, I don't want to do that" or "no, I didn't mean that".

@MaskedMan I think your answer hits the spot perfectly - despite the OPs (maybe trolling) uncertainty as to whether they want to correct folks or not...

@Rory If the OP's post is genuine, I suspect her to be a bit of a drama queen, who gets offended when people assume her to be male (feminism, male bias and all that), but also gets offended when people call her female (gender discrimination, stereotypes, and all that). As I posted in one of the comments to the question, her goal is to prevent people from assuming she is either male or female, while at the same time leaving both options open.
The only purpose that serves is to get fake-offended regardless of what people assume your gender to be. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

@RichardU THIS is what mandatory work fun should look like :D

@Tinkeringbell @RichardU I am tempted to answer this question with "start mandatory fun events at work"... :P

Q: How to build step by step a synergy between people in a group of work?

T-studentI'm working for a company business company and I feel inside my group we are very far from each other everyone has their own problems and dose not share. I know some methodology of work where in the morning everyone speak about their actual work and share it with everyone, I think this can be a ...

@MaskedMan Oh please! Is that guy talking about combining standups/daily scrums with emotions and games?? Where did I leave my bucket....
Uhm, let's see ... add one more question to the daily standup: What's your sob story of the day? Sounds like that would work.
As always, @Kilisi hits the nail on the head there ...
Find a group of drama queens to work with, most people are not interested in showing their emotons at work and sharing personal problems, and in fact it's not good for the workplace either. — Kilisi 16 hours ago
@MaskedMan but drama queens can be so much fun to work with (NOT)
As long as their drama is directed at someone else, yeah, they are fun.
@MaskedMan Ugh! When I went to do the program to learn programming, we got a 'coach'. She made us play games all the time, and I hated her for it because she always made the completely wrong assumptions (or I could manipulate the game and have her make them, which was my way of having fun). Also, I never got to understand what I was supposed to gain from the games
Spent 2 hours at a random social event talking to the coach that coached other groups, and I had life figured out
16:21
I can relate to that. I always took it as a challenge to force the self-styled "game master" to resort to Calvinball with their own games, especially with puzzles. They would have a specific solution in mind to the "puzzle". I knew what they wanted to hear, but I would deliberately solve it in a different way. They would get very disappointed with that, and plead, "no, no, solve it without doing that" :P
I want to answer that question but at the same time I have 2 comments that I'd like to see answered :/ ... I'll just save the draft.
One of the "fun events" we had at work was having us listen to a "motivational speaker". He blabbered something about how the journey is more exciting than the destination, or some crap. Then out of the blue, he put me on the spot and asked me to give an "example" of what he had just said. I responded rather innocently with, "the commute from my home to the office every morning". That left the PHB (who organized the whole thing) red faced, as everyone else burst out into laughter.
@MaskedMan Well, for instance, this coach led the introduction session for our new class. She did this by putting a shitload of postcards and images from magazines on the floor. We all had to pick one, and then we just went around the circle and everyone had to share how that picture represented their personality.
I picked one and said 'I crochet, I like this colour combination for my next project'
Really, it was the most unhelpful round of introductions I ever had... at the end, it was like 'Hey you, with the sparkly character, what's your name again'
@MaskedMan Nice :D
I always derive amusement from these fun events at work though, since they invariably descend into a farce. I guess they serve their purpose after all, though not in the intended way.

@Tinkeringbell Nice answer.
@MaskedMan Hahaha, I'll be waiting for the mandatory 'please explain why it isn't rude' comment XD :P
Kilisi is our legend in writing the shortest answers over here. So much that other users actually defend his short answers, whenever someone calls it out on the length.

A: Boss sends a birthday message. How to reply?

Kilisi'Thanks, you have a great day as well!'

17:29
@MaskedMan Okay, but 'how' does that work? XD :P
17:58
That is exactly what some people complained about (or a different answer though), and that's when people defended those short answers.

Q: What is wrong with the answer to this question?

Mister PositiveMy question is about the accepted answer to this question Former manager is asking for documentation I prepared as his employee. Personally, I think there is a better answer given by IdrinkAndIknowThings, but that being said I still voted for it, liked it personally, and do not see it as wrong w...

His own answer to that meta question is also quite entertaining to read.

Hah, interesting that 2 answers referenced my comment on an IPS question, and then that comment got removed. Apparently saying anything negative about anything or anyone is automatically rude or unconstructive these days. Gotta remember to walk on eggshells around SE, lest someone gets offended.

@MaskedMan Hmm... I'm not entirely getting that, but what did you do this time? :P You already know we remove almost ALL comments on IPS, especially if they're not asking for clarification or suggesting improvements..
