@Adam: Typically there's an option to have them inspected for bad pixels for ~50usd more
course, one or two bad pixels of 8 million.... may not be as noticable.

And this one dosen't have the typical lack of OSD, craptastic stand, shitty array of ports (You have what you need), and vesa support.
also, if its not a glass screen, I've had decent luck massaging bright/stuck pixels

I don't think “questions that will lead to a specific recommendation” means anything to people who haven't followed the meta debates from the private beta. And “recommendations for hardware” is pretty vague. I strongly recommend changing the last sentence to something that makes sense to someone who isn't intimately familiar with the site. The phrases “pre-purchase recommendation” and “recommend hardware for a specific goal” come to mind but I'm not in a sentence-crafting mood right now. — Gilles 15 hours ago

Scope for a software site is much simpler than scope for a hardware site
It's bugging me that we don't have mods yet. Usually once a site has mods, it's 'safe' for the near term.

Day 40: Still no mods. Panic has set in. There are murmurs of this being part of an A/B test where we ended up on the "B" side. Will we truly be testing a "Lord of the Flies" style moderation system? I don't know, but I bet I can wield my diamond faster than others. Especially @Undo. He smells like a dog. I don't trust him. There are others around too that I'm unsure about, but it's hard not to trust @enderland. He's so happy. How can you not like a person who smiles all the time?
