@GraceNote I made sure it was the first entry, to stop it from entering in half-way through the election. It would be much worse if it had appeared in a colored manner... Or if bits and pieces of it popped up without giving people the chance to read the full story, first impressions are hard to beat. Sorry for the early elephant! (Again)

@RobM: I can tell you that Shog was far too busy with other things to dig for reasons to demod, well, anyone. This situation pretty much killed his productivity last week and will likely prevent him from doing things he'd rather spend time on this week. In this job, we don't go looking for trouble; it comes looking for us. — Jon Ericson ♦ Apr 13 at 22:45
I stand by that. Believe it or not, we don't like removing moderators. We especially don't like removing elected moderators.

@JonEricson My apologies for dragging this up, it was going to happen sooner or later though, rather it happen at this stage personally.
@Reaces Absolutely. I don't have a problem with your post or even the comments. But it does seem like the thread was wandering away from your points, which is why I hope it will move here.
@JonEricson It's unfortunate that the election looks to be so one-sided right now. 3 spots and only 3 real candidates. And only a few days to go.
No real incentive to give good answers to any questions brought forth.
@Reaces Oh. There's plenty of time for more nominees. Often people wait to the last moment to throw their hat into the ring.
There are a few people I had hoped would stand, but so far they have declined to do so.
Last year I thought most of the candidates that actually stood a chance nominated themselves in the first day... But I haven't been here for a lot of SE elections.
