@AndrasDeak I never understood what that meant.

Speaking of TV, if you are looking for something non-awful to watch, you could do a lot worse than "What We Do in the Shadows". I don't often recommend TV, because it mostly sucks, but it's really very funny. It's so good it's practically honorary British TV.

@FaheemMitha that Moss thinks he has a cool style, which is funny because he's the squarest nerd you can imagine
@FaheemMitha I recommend the eponymous original movie as well. It was my first contact with Taika Waititi, whom I soon started to consider one of the most brilliant people around in the tv/movie industry. He has a few very (endearingly) weird movies which he usually writes and directs and stars, along with a bunch of other New Zealander actors. The best thing that happened to the Marvel movies was getting Taika on board for Thor 3, which is my favourite MCU movie to date.
He's friends with Sam Neill (who's also from New Zealand), which is how he could get him to do a came in Thor 3. He also plays in his movies.

@AndrasDeak I don't think I currently have access to the film. If I did, I would watch it.
@AndrasDeak I don't remember Sam Neill in Ragnarok.
@AndrasDeak I quite like his hair. It's distinctive.
Oh, he was in that play.
@FaheemMitha at the start of the movie when Thor catches Loki red-handed pretending to be Odin, the three actors in his play are Sam Neill, Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth's brother if I recall correctly
Liam, perhaps

@AndrasDeak Right, in the play.
In the real world, one would expect Moss (and possibly Roy) to be a *nix user. I'm thinking possibly OpenBSD (or possibly something really obscure). But neither of them mention it.
But that's a very generically designed sitcom.
No, at least Roy "only does windows" (said in the episode where he's worried he keeps being mistaken for a window cleaner)
@AndrasDeak He probably didn't mean that literally. At least I hope not, because it's sad.
Clever play on words, though.
I find the thought of being a Windows admin really depressing, somehow.
Wouldn't you just get suicidal after a while?
Being a vampire's familiar would be a step up.
At least it's sure that the systems they administrate is Windows. Hence the whole "turn it off and on again".
@AndrasDeak Yes, that part is clear.
Though sometimes it works with other operating systems too. But less so.
Actually, Debian does a fairly good job of upgrading things live.
For an operating system that is a sealed box, Windows sure is popular.
People like sealed boxes, as long as they "just work" for some value of "work".
hackers are a very small minority

@AndrasDeak Ugh.
Just consider how many apple users there are, and I guess pretty much everyone using a smartphone.
@AndrasDeak Do you have a favorite TV series? Just curious.
@AndrasDeak Oh,yes. All the foreign guests that came through here in 4 years had an Iphone. It was incredible.
@FaheemMitha if I do it's probably IT Crowd
@AndrasDeak Oh.
To date it's the only thing that I feel like rewatching. I've seen them all 4 or 5 times already, and it's getting about time for another run.
16:12
@AndrasDeak Favorite episode? I really like "Are We Not Men", or whatever it's called. I've always thought that it feels poetically inevitable that they start by trying to be friends with "real men", and shortly afterwards are driving the getaway car. Though "The Work Outing" is generally considered to be the IT Crowd's comedic peak.
probably no one favourite, a lot of episodes come to mind all the time
@AndrasDeak OK

Favorite TV series?: Star Trek
Any of them, but probably Voyager.
21:52
you misspelled "except Voyager (and Enterprise)" :P
