@JdeBP I've seen "xe" before but this comment is the first place I've ever seen "xyr". Learn a new pronoun every day? Thank for that.

@Celada I think 'your' is meant.

@FaheemMitha No, it isn't "your". It's a third person singular gender-neutral pronoun. Personally I use singular they in cases like this so I would have said "their", but it's a matter of preference.
@Celada Wow, really?
Good grief.

Anybody know how to install GRUB in this case?

Am planning to start bounty! good-idea?
@Pandya What you are trying to do is probably possible, but tricky. I don't know enough to suggest how to proceed. However, I'd personally burn a CD/DVD. This strikes me as complication without reason.
@FaheemMitha yes, I am looking for that trick, btw, I've also posted note about this complicated situation

@FaheemMitha I just use "it": totally grammatically correct and perfectly gender-neutral... You humans with their obsession with gender is overrated anyway! ;-) CC@Celada
@Fabby Hey, it wasn't my pronoun.
:-) I got that... ;-)
@Fabby The main reason I use "they" instead of "it" is that "it" has been used to dehumanize transpeople.
also, hello everybody
English is just the fourth language I speak and it has three sexes (unlike E.G. French) so I use "it" to denote anyone whose gender I don't know.
Just stating an opinion... I couldn't care less about someone being a man, woman, transgender, a-sexual, bisexual, ...
nor being black, red, yellow, white, a green martian or a blue smurf.
(but then: I'm an a-sexual being composed of energy and don't understand you human's preoccupation with sex and race anyway) @JennyD
>:-)
@Fabby I don't think anybody else's gender is any of my business, but I think it's polite and respectful to use whatever pronouns a given person prefers to have used about them, just like it's polite and respectful to use whatever name they prefer.
