I have the following commands in my script:

while [ -n "$1" ]
do
-i) TIME_GAP_BOOT=$2
shift ;;

sleep $TIME_GAP_BOOT
When invoking the script with -i 2, I get the error
sleep: invalid time interval `\'2\''

I've just got myself a new laptop, and have decided to tread in the paths of righteousness and install Debian rather than Ubuntu. But I'm keeping the Win7 partition, because it's occasionally useful to see how a website you've built behaves in IE10.
