We have a tag?
Didn't know that...

A question - which did not seem worth a whole Meta Q. The [x] tag is just garbage, no? It's just people with [x11] questions, who aren't certain how to double-check that they're not using some other mysterious version :-). Can it be resolved by mod fiat, or does it need people to gradually work through the questions and re-process them?

@sourcejedi it ultimately needs moderator fiat because is considered a version-specific variant of , and version-specific synonyms can only be created by moderators :-/

@sourcejedi despite there being a moderator around who likes to smash tags together, my personal preference would be to throw a Meta Q out there, just to make sure everyone's in agreement. Does that sound reasonable?

11:03 AM
@JeffSchaller I'm happy to have a Meta Q for smashing x/x11 together. Just didn't want to make a whole show and dance of it, if it could be answered trivially in chat
particularly in case the answer was "If you want to fix it, you can work through them yourself (improving & reviewing as you go)"
I can write it myself if it helps, but there might be a delay :-).

yeah, no rush -- my concern is just to make sure the community supports it
I like having the Meta Q's because it makes for a nice historical discussion, in case it ever comes up again
doesn't have to be hysterical, just historical :)

@JeffSchaller I was about to write this same thing. Especially useful when the answer is "we are not doing it".

Lol. When I asked in chat, I'd already thrown away a Meta post (I thought I was being too verbose). Somehow, I had not noticed, about 8 of the first 10 Q's shown on Meta Unix SE are currently about tag merging :-).

that's your busybody tag moderator, trying to clean up a bit :)

Hi May I ask some questions?
1. Does anyone use Chrome remote desktop, or use any alternative instead? https://alternativeto.net/software/chrome-remote-desktop/
2. When I want to access Ubuntu desktop from Android, is xpra a good solution (https://xpra.org/trac/wiki/Clients/Android)? I am currently using vino as server on Ubuntu and some VNC viewer on Android.
3. Can I access Android desktop from ubuntu?
@StephenKitt recommended Xpra a while ago. So I am interested in your opinions, among others'.
Salute to the Sun!

@Tim I don't have experience with any of those, sorry!

@MichaelHomer Wow, thanks
(if you would have less rep than me, I'd add 100 rep bounty, now you'll have to do with a simple thank you on top of the +15)
