127 is command not found, apparently.
"exit status is 1" for the line in question. Not very helpful.

that's what grep returns if there was no output. Which would be the case if -v and all lines matched.

Hmm. That's a rather liberal definition of error.
Maybe I should just keep the -e flag off.

Yes. The problems with set -e
You could try grep .. || true

And also, borg check doesn't seem to be producing the checking segments thing any more. So maybe that whole file redirection thing is redundant.
Looks like it has been fixed for awhile. And apparently I had something to do with it, since my name appears there.
Unless it's another faheem...
(Just kidding.)
Well, looks like I made some progress. Hurray and stuff.

8:32 PM
Did everyone leave again?

Do you want something to happen if grepdoesn't find a match? Like for a message to be printed or something?

@FaheemMitha ... Unix Ghost is here.

@EliahKagan Hi. Are you talking to me?
@derobert What?

@FaheemMitha Well, you wandered if anyone was here.

@derobert Who or what is Unix Ghost?

8:44 PM
CVE-2015-0235 apparently :-P

@FaheemMitha Sorry, yes. I was about to say more in a second message and ping you but then I got distracted. I was going to suggest that if it should do something instead of exit the script, then making it do that would typically solve the problem, too.

I just found him/her/it from a Google Image search

@EliahKagan Ah. Well, I just discovered that all that complicated stuff is, fortunately, no longer necessary.
So we can all live happily ever after. So to speak.
@derobert Once is quite enough.

Rather cute security vulnerability, unfortunately I patched it. So... no more.

Especially at that size.

8:45 PM
@FaheemMitha Ah, excellent.

@FaheemMitha Make sure not to click on it, it'll embiggen

@EliahKagan I complained about this a while back. And the Borg people fixed it, apparently. And I didn't notice.
@derobert Definitely not clicking on it.
It's nice when bugs get fixed. It doesn't happen that often.

@EliahKagan I posted a link to the bug above.
I can repost if you want to take a look.

@FaheemMitha It's that, right?

8:48 PM
@EliahKagan Yes, that's the one.
Did you get the point, or should I elaborate?

Yes, the situation makes sense now.

So filtering out those lines is no longer necessary, fortunately.
Thanks for the assistance, folks.
