@Ramesh Reasonable question, but couldn't you just look at what adduser does?

Ok, having looked at (for example /usr/sbin/adduser) it is 1000 lines of perl. Certainly asking for a summary is not unreasonable.

Well, I certainly wouldn't downvote your question. And didn't.

Oh, I just noticed right now it was a self answer. Not sure this was a question that really needed to be answered, but ymmv.

@Ramesh Ah. Well, they are interview questions. Not real questions. No actual human being cares.

Interview questions, afaik, are to test people to see if they are suitable for a job by seeing how much they know.

@Ramesh Personally, I would restrict myself to asking questions which I cared about, but again, ymmv.
