@Izzy: Agreed. I know that and that's why stated in the foot note of the question that I would disable Xposed module, reboot and pass CTS before trying to update. presence of Xposed framework is enough to trigger check failing
@izzy:: I wanted to root basically because of battery control and of course some things I like by way of Xposed mods. At this stage I am not too bothered if OTA fails. Development is picking up and there are ROMs both official that have come up in last two days :). That said, it would be interesting to know how it works as asked in the question. It's not a frontier question but I suppose should be a common concern but it doesn't seem to be even on XDA. //
BTW this answer of mine has exhaustive tips for non root users . Mentioning it so that it may be helpful to point for battery drain on stock devices
@beeshyams I don't care much about SafetyNet either (not using anything that complains). As for the "helpful link": Why not editing that into the corresponding tag wiki?
