Q: Can we say "colloquial context" or "conversational context" instead of "informal context"?

Fire and IceInstead of saying "informal context", can we say either "conversational context" or "colloquial context"? I thought the words "conversational" and "colloquial" might not be used to desribe a context or a situation since they are generally used to modify language, words or style etc. For example c...

@simonatrcl The telegraph is still a newspaper. However "quality" they may be, they all contribute to the deterioration of the English language. — Prime Mover Jun 16 at 22:02

@Glorfindel Why did you change the name of the channel in this edit?
@Daniil unnecessary self-promotion
user435118
Btw, that user has a spammy bio
just like example.com is often used instead of a real domain on Stack Overflow.

A: Why was my question deleted?

AstralbeeYour answers so far on the site have been of extremely poor quality, and in many cases, incorrect. The fact you have gained a small measure of reputation on the site is due mainly to your scattergun approach, and in part due to the misplaced trust of the English learners whose questions you have ...

I mean that case was different, but again the user (or users) shared some similar characteristics
@ColleenV Just downright avoided me
Thanks, missed that one.

@AIQ FTR, I obviously didn't take offense and no non-ignorant person will but "Jap" is a slur if you didn't know
My point being that it's a dangerous way to shorten "Japanese"

Q: To move my question to English Language & Usage

john c. j.I asked this one Is it OK to use "otherwise" after "where"? question assuming it will be very easy and straightforward to answer. That is, a typical question from a foreign person who don't really know the language. As I see now, this question is much less straightforward as I thought, and it w...
