What's the pronunciation difference between the word "pen" and "fan" in English. They sound similar to me. Please help me. Thanks

@yubraj If you pronounced "pen" the same way you pronounce "fan", people would think you were saying "pan" (like a pan on a stove). If you pronounced "fan" like you pronounce "pen", they would think you were saying "fen" - a type of swamp.

@yubraj When you pronounce the vowel in fan, your mouth opens more than when you pronounce the vowel in pen. Click on the sounds in online dictionaries to hear the difference if it helps.
