A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

Dannyu NDosDecide Equality of Closed Surfaces Objective Given two closed surfaces (a.k.a. 2-manifolds), decide whether they're homeomorphic. Introduction In layman's terms, a closed surface is a shape that resembles a flat plane everywhere (say, when magnified very much). Familiar examples of a closed surfa...

noodle personSnakes on a 2xN grid code-golf A snake is defined as a consecutive ordering of a two dimensional grid which touches each square without jumps, starting at the square (0, 0). I levt the hackathon gor 3 hours for a friend's birthday prty an let's just say I overshot the ballmer peak
but i'm writing some code nevertheless
and it's going well
I played catan drunk
sutrprisingly not as gun as it would seem
fun
oh boy i'm feeling it mr krabs
I still can't tell if it makes me funnier or less funny
tbf it's difficult to judge if alchool makes uo funnier while under the finluence of the very alcohol which's impact ypu're trying to judge
which's isn't a word but it sure as hell should be
I mean, people use wjhose, but that's animate
which feels weird
I was treading about russian gender neutral ghrammar today
cool shit
well not cool
cause it kinda sucks and is transphobic
but like
it's cool to learn gay things
I don't understand why we can't all just be happy
like what does it hurt you if we just ;et trans people be trans
like why
what's in it for you to police my ghender
well noty mine
officially
i am cis
i do have a policy of not weat5ing feminine clothing thoug because "it woud make me feel things"
well thats n0t the wording
but it's close enpug and I can't remember it
it's nbot bad to have a crush on a friend. you can'y control how you feel, just how you react to it
and I react to it pretty well, even drunk
like I don't udnderstand how people can fail to be respectful towards people (e.g. women) when cis, not even considering drunk
sober
not cis
well usually both
you know what I mean
like it's not a fucking high bae to clear
what's funny is I was talking to my fridnd about this and he was like "i've had a crush on the same two people"
it's kinda funny
but my friend who I have a crush on (respesinbile as a friendO has been loike "it sucks finding out that someone's only friends with me because they want to go out with me" and I will never. ever put her or someone else who I respect like that in that position
because like, they[re a friend first to me, romantic anything comes second
sometimes I feel like i'm immature for having a crish on people I should just be fridnds with
but I know it's not like, within my control
ugh I should work on the hackathon stuff
condescend9oing guy is judging me
I' e done more gort north keoea than anyone else though'

Q: Is this number Ugly?

CrSb0001Related, but not dupe (Asking about the n-th k-smooth number whereas I'm only asking if a certain number is 5-smooth.)Source: Partially inspired by Leetcode's 5-smooth Number problem, but partially inpsired by my newfound interest in Befunge-93. Problem statement An "ugly number" (also commonly ...

VTC this? codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/15225/… The winning criteria are... complete nonsense, but it just got bumped anyways
@rydwolf yeah I feel like most games are fun drunk but Catan is like, there's only so much goofy shit you can pull and/or see
@rydwolf if it makes you any less anxious about telling her, the single friend I had a crush on was suuuuuper chill with it when I told her I was worried I was only friends with her because I was romantically attracted to her
and now we're closer friends than ever with a mutual lack of romantic interest :3

CMQ: What is the next number in this sequence: 11,0,6,7,20,13,16,100,200,600,21,22,26,27
**CMQ** If the elements of two arrays are not too large you can compute their convolutiion accurately in O(n log n) time. I have a variant and I was wondering if you can anything better than naive schoolbook multiplication for it.

My arrays are of length n. Each element is a single digit times a power of ten. For example, 5 * 10^150. The exponents will never be bigger than 200.

Can you compute the convolutiion of two such arrays quickly?

@emanresuA , I wanted to confirm whether the heap pointer and the pointers in the linked lists in your Acc!! tinylisp interpreter have a static bound. I'm asking because I've been working on implementing an unbounded* stack/heap with unbounded* integers and wanted to ensure I'm not reinventing the wheel before delving too deeply.

*with some caveats, of course
They do, yes - it's a 32-bit machine, so (slightly less than) 4Gb of heap space can be allocated
Thank you for your quick response!
Curious what your techniques are - is this the 2^a3^b5^c... construction you mentioned earlier?
Any feedback for my first fastest code challenge?
my current idea is just to rewrite all of memory at the end of the loop to an increase size with a loop
this is mostly an extension of what I did for weaving lists in Acc!!, where I bounded the number dynamically based on size of input

Q: Find the boolean logic to check if a number is prime!

FmbalbuenaYour task is to find a boolean expression that uses AND (\$\land\$), OR (\$\lor\$), XOR (\$\oplus\$), and NOT (\$\lnot\$) operators and binary digit positions (\$d_1,d_2,d_3,d_4,d_5,d_6,d_7,d_8,d_9,d_{10},\cdots\$) such that it successfully checks if any number is prime or not.
