CMQ I have a 1000 by 1000 matrix with all zeros except for one one. If I want to find the location of the one as quickly as possible, is it worth using multiple threads ?

@Simd No.
Naive solution takes about 15 μs on my machine using a single thread.
Cleverer solution takes 4 μs.

6:50 AM
@Adám oh what’s the cleverer solution?

Store the matrix as shape + list of elements. Find first 1 in list, convert to (mixed-)radix shape.
Expressed in APL, the naive solution is ⊃⍸matrix and the cleverer solution is shape⊤list⍳1

So first flatten the matrix? That shouldn’t help as the rows should be in memory consecutively in C format

Right, this is only from the high-level APL perspective of a matrix being a matrix. If your matrix is already stored flat, then the solution is cut out for you; scan for first 1 using SIMD instructions, then convert base.

I checked the address and there's no payment record. I assume that's because different addressed sent to different receivers.

I don't think that image is appropriate for TNB - please put it in a link with some sort of warning

Now people can just follow the link to see it.

That works too

@l4m2 I got several copies of that exact same email on my secondary address

It's been around for years

asking this on a public Slack channel :P

To be fair the scripting isn't the hard part of a DDOS

Q: Importing the result via the script to get a lower score

PatrickIm very new to code golf, but I do see myself as a rather experienced developer. Based on the amount of bytes I am lacking behind leaders however, it would suggest I am not. An example is a hole, where I has over 100% after leader based on byte amount. It can definetly be done better than what I ...

@NewPosts pretty sure this has no relation to us :p

It's about code golf

code dot golf
a completely different site
and even if it were about CGCC, it shouldn't be on main

Tips questions can be about golfing in general and not specifically about on this site. It shouldn't be on meta because meta is specifically about this site
Though it's not really a tips question so IDK

imo it's off topic because it's not actually asking for actionable code golf tips
you can't answer it saying "do <golfing technique x>"

1:05 PM
A lot of the "tips for golfing in PHP" are absolute garbage

at least you can answer with tips to the original "tips for golfing in PHP"
it has something you can give tips for

have yall seen today's mc snapshot
check gaming chat

they made lyxal vaporwave 😔

One of the questions in my off-borading form for my old job was:

Rate the humidity of the office (1-5)
It's not even a long form, just 12 questions total and one is rating the humdity

@NewPosts i think theyre asking if the "loading code from internet" loophole is allowed

@Seggan seems that way to me as well
in which case, the answer would likely be "if the author explicitly allows it"

if and only if the author explicitly allows it

3:56 PM
@Someone Specifically on code.gofl, not here

@Seggan darn it, missed an f

@mousetail Is that bad to good, or dry to humid, or...?

1 hour later…
8:16 PM
@UnrelatedString You know, some code bases should maybe be measured in how many lines of coke it took to make them
When a project goes beyond like 1 million lines of code, it's lines of coke time
No way every contributor to gcc is sober

9:07 PM
@DLosc It doesn't specify but I assume bad to good?

I feel like dry to humid makes more sense? What do bad and good even mean?

9:29 PM
you could do both--define the middle of the range as whatever humidity you personally prefer, so a higher score is more-humid-and-worse and a lower score is less-humid-and-worse

1 hour later…
10:42 PM
Oh, right, that makes sense
