SomebodyGolf the Spaceman's Song The song A Spaceman Came Travelling presents a fictional story about an alien coming to earth and singing; it is loosely based on the account of the birth of Jesus. This is the song that the spaceman sings: La la la la la la la la la la la La la la la la la la la La la l...

@Simd how many points? Is it guaranteed that they are enough to determine the lines?

@Simd Assuming enough points from both lines: Randomly pick any two points. Draw a line passing the two and mark all points that lie on it. Pick two more points among the unmarked ones and do the same. If all points are marked, the two lines are the answer. Otherwise repeat from the beginning.
Time per iteration = O(n). Expected number of iterations is roughly 2.

@Simd pick three of the points. for each pair of points, pick two points not on the line joining them. one of the pairs of lines will then cover the entire set.
@Somebody yes, there will be at least 2 points per line
@Bubbler that is a good idea
@Neil how long could that take?
depends on how long the underlying operations take, but O(n) I guess
@Simd 2 points per line has 3 different solutions
@Bubbler oops. Three points per line
(but if the three points are on the same line, then just pick any two points not on that line)
08:34
How about if there are points on three lines?
09:21
three points will normally be on three lines, when you use my original procedure

@lyxal looks like it's in the user's personal fork
would still recommend them to not use a personal fork builtin for something that front-facing :P
and also to not call R iota since it's J that corresponds to an apl iota
14:14
where can we talk about ATO again?
@lyxal well he's mostly interested in the tacit system
so it makes sense i guess.
