@DialFrost Passed you
00:20
@Steffan darn
I also took your suggestion and passed jayxon in dart
Only had to solve one hole, like you said
All my diamonds are gone
Told you
Why don't you go actually solve a hole and not harcode them lol
Laziness
Two days ago I had 51 diamonds, now I have 18 lol
00:27
Why do diamonds count double? What's up with that?
a lot of the time you also end up with the chars diamond as well as the bytes one
Oh okay
Just trade them with villagers into emeralds, duh
3
00:44
Well, got the sed diamonds back
Also zig
Everything else has non-hardcoded solutions
01:02
@Steffan :3
chat : Messages posted when there are at least 4 active people in the room must gain stars from at least 2 of them to show up as starred
add that to the list of about 1300 queued chat feature requests /hj
01:17
I tried but I ran out of memory for the list
01:45
@Ginger why
is it bc of mine
02:18
@Ginger Yeah, why? What would this aim to prevent?
02:34
Rol update: ive decided to reimplement the parser myself instead of ANTLR because 1) its easier to do certain syntax things (e.x. string interpolation) and 2) ANTLR gives really cryptic errors
if rewriting the parser turns out to be too hard, im still rewriting the lexer

Hi
04:22
hai
04:49
How I check my marks are summed properly
1. Create a list on Python with all the marks for each question in it
2. Use `sum()` to sum it all up
05:40
lmaooooo i just saw lyxal and tybo going out of chat at the same time
their pfps were right on top of each other :D
while moving :o
They both live in the southern hemisphere, therefore they're the same person
@emanresuA they are?
how do you know? :3
because I am too
doesnt mean u know that they are too!

is there a CGCC challenge on making a hexdump based on a string?
all i found was this but it doesnt seem to the "official" hexdump challenge codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/11985/…
08:56
@DialFrost what's wrong with that challenge? seems pretty hexdumpy to me

@mousetail congrats netherlands won yesterday
I'm boycotting the world cup
Because literally hunderds of slaves died building the stadiums
that's qatar
Wait what world cup are you talking about?
10:12
literally there is resentment over the world cup being in qatar
it should be somewhere else
@mousetail the current one
FIFA world cup 2022
Which is in qatar right?
yup
and qatar is just a 100000 kilometres away
from here
i think
Yea so I think it's not cool to kill tons of people to buld stadium
"to kill"? seriously you're exaggerating right?
No literally tons of them died
Because of unsafe working conditions
10:15
where you learnt abt that
Every news site
Actually according to BBC over 6000 people died
It's crazy because when there is a plane crash or a natural disaster and around 200 people die it's all over the news and there are search and rescue operations, and everyone is like "thoughts and pairs" etc. but when it's 6000 people are just like "lets go watch football"
wtf that's so damn deadly
but you exaggerated
I thought like literally 100,000 died but it's only 6000
I said hunderds
It's asctually thousands so I underestimated
> No literally tons of them died
Ok fair enough when I say ton I don't really think of it as a number but I should have been more careful with my word choice
10:23
that's the second time you said "fair enough"
It's my go to response when someone is technically right
so I'm right that no-one died?
What?
How did you come to that conclusion?
Cuz idk
you just jumped into the topic
Ok gtg play astroparty
Fun facts: Facts don't change because someone used the wrong words explaining them
5
10:43
huh
11:03
@Steffan howd u achieve 4 bytes GS for reverse polish notation
Probably eval
ye
but idk the char for that
input is alr 2 char so only 2 left to eval
~ I think
then maybe print, or reverse
@emanresuA thats bitwise
i checked earlier
anyone know where the GS git is
Literally at the top of the page
11:13
@emanresuA ?
11:30
where lol
sigh why does vamp no.s have to be so hard
It wouldn't be fun if it was easy

1 hour later…
12:44
hi
13:00
@UndoneStudios alright a ton is 1000 kgs so tons of them simply means thousands of people
13:31
:wave:

2 hours later…
15:05
i just remembered i used to use algodoo, and it has this scripting language called thyme
15:21
@DialFrost ~ is eval
is FEM basically brute force for calculus?
16:02
Calculus is fun
16:19
LDQ: -> or =>?
I prefer ->
@Seggan For dereferncing or for lambda functions?
@Seggan First for maps, second for implications
lambdas and match/switch
I find => too similar to >=
(Yes I frequently type => when I mean >=)
16:26
^
the arrow is also more visually clear with ->
yeah i agree
Only reason to go with => is if you're aiming to attract JS users
i was reading the rust book and noticed they used that for match, which is why i asked

When you think you solved a challenge but realize you haven't handled one edge case and it would be next to impossible in incorporate this change without restarting the whole thing
18:54
CMC: Fibonacci, but the input 81 is special cased to return itself.
(Since I think having an edge case being the main point of the challenge might be an interesting task)
(Sort of just "what's the most compact way to handle an edge case in your language")
1, 1 or 0, 1?
Your choice
Vyxal, 9 bytes +)d1Ḟ81:Ȧ - regular fibonacci, then l[81] = 81
shouldnt l[80] be set instead?
True. Replace the 1 with the 10 builtin then
19:05
funny, Fig has no list set builtin
@RadvylfPrograms Should subsequent values take the 82 into account, so l[82]=81+l[80]
@RadvylfPrograms Jelly, 6 bytes: ÆḞn¡81
Jelly's generic edge case handling is <chain>n¡<edge case>
@RadvylfPrograms ><>, 46 bytes: mousetail.github.io/Fish/#eyJ0ZXh0IjoiMTFpOidRJz0/… Edge case cost about 12 bytes
19:34
@mousetail no
@mousetail CMC: Yes

Q: Take input from the user and convert lowercase letters to uppercase in MMIX

Zelda WatcherWrite an MMIX program that converts each letter to uppercase converted. • Take text input from the user. • Write subprogram to convert the input to upper case. delve The thing is I do not know how to do it in MMIX Programm. (You can look for the book)

Q: Decide whether a given field of the board game 'Qwirkle' is valid (according to game rules)

SquareootThe famous game of Qwirkle has simple but intricate rules (See part 2 of this question for a summary of the rules!) The Challenge You are somehow (text input, function parameter, whatever) given a board of a Qwirkle game, like a snapshot from any current timeframe within a game. This board can b...

@Steffan abreh
@mousetail 27 bytes
@Steffan why does {n*}~ evaluate only some of the expressions from input?
