nah i deserve it, heres what happened: My friend was bored during school and wanted to do a little trolling so he used my school account and wrote up all those posts, while i just watched on the side laughing my ass off along with him. remember that cool_noice guy from a while back? that was my friend and i all along. yeah sorry about that, we were just having a bit of fun, now i learn my lesson :(
@lyxal We don't necessarily know the reason, but speculating about it pressures people who do know into talking about it, which is specifically why we don't allow discussing suspensions.
@forest Yeah. I'd typed that and sent it before Aiden's most recent comment, and they hadn't indicated yet whether or not they wanted to discuss why the suspension happened
@AidenChow I mean, you prolly should've stopped him, but y'all're like 13 IIRC so it's understandable I guess (I may or may not've been suspended once when I was 13 :p)
@RadvylfPrograms it was really funny when it was happening, i didnt know SE could actually track it to my main acct, tho i was certainly nervous of that happening
well, my fears have become reality, im suspended now :(
@AidenChow It's deleted. No one can see it but mods and people with 10k rep.
But I suppose you could ask for it to be disassociated (which deletes the name attached to it), but technically the suspension and reason will still be on your record. I'm not sure if a mod would disassociate a deleted post.

@AidenChow if you don't mind, can I ask why you want them disassociated? If a post is already deleted, it's all but impossible for anyone aside from you or a mod to find it, besides stumbling across it randomly.
We can see them, but we can't search for them, or find them from your profile
Technically, we can find them from the list of recently deleted posts in the 10k+ tools, but that would require someone going through all of the deleted posts in the last week to find them, and no one's going to do that
well, i just dont some random troll posts to have my acct with it, even if only a certain group of ppl can see it. i really regret the trolling, but i would really want to just remove it from my acct completely
but yeah, don't worry about it - everyone makes mistakes and given you acknowledged your mistakes publicly when it wasn't a requirement to and understand why it was wrong, nobody's going to hold it against you. I understand your request though and have forwarded it since I can't do it myself
@AidenChow For the answers, you can edit the answers once you're unsuspended to be something along the lines of "Deleted answer, don't worry about this". And, as HN and forest have said, it's not a massive issue when it comes down to it, we all make mistakes
For what its worth, as an example of how little of a "grudge" SE holds against users for, really, anything aside from continued spamming, I've been suspended 3 times before, and I'm still here :P
(I'm not suggesting people go get suspended for the fun of it, just that a suspensions doesn't mean the end of the world :P)
the only thing suspensions do beyond the suspension duration is you can't become a mod if you've been suspended within a year, which is not a concern for you since you can't become a mod until you're 18 years old anyway
my only two suspensions are when i asked dennis to suspend me so i wouldn't be tempted to waste time on SE and could focus on school (which doesn't show up on my profile because it was on my deleted account), and when I suspended myself
@cairdcoinheringaahing ikr, time passes too quickly
@UnrelatedString i made the mistake of applying to a server's dev team and now i am stuck doing admin stuff and other assorted things that i doubt would interest y'all :P
as in he's spent the last like half a year constantly iterating on rules that will never see the light of day and none of us talk to him about it because it's all kinda pointless and sad
most servers do put their mods through a trial first. also even though we do have mod applications open almost all of our mods were people that existing mods identified as good candidates except one who has been a mod on much larger servers lol. so i guess in a way we kinda did do that just not directly
Newcomers to codegolf.SE are often compelled to ask what many of our abbreviations and terms mean. Let us list them here so this information always will be easily available.

I mean, it could be more of a discussion with everyone here than "yo I got the italicz so lyxal's an RO now no talking or I'll do an oppression"
We could also just go with the fifth and maybe sixth place from the last vote, but since we have some new users I'd rather not do that since it doesn't give them a fair chance
I'm cool with either an election, or a semi-informal discussion followed by appointing some users. CGCC seems to like democracy so I'm guessing an election is probably going to be the result, although I'd rather it just be the second to make things easier lol
@RadvylfPrograms That's another thing about elections: if someone doesn't want to be RO, they just don't stand. We don't have to go through choosing them, offering it and getting rejected
I think it'd be nice if we had an RO who was pretty active and from a non-US/UK timezone, so if we went with the discussion/appointment route, lyxal or emanresu would probably be my top choice
@UnrelatedString I mean, I barely do anything either. All you have to do is just occasionally glance at the starboard, or sometimes do simple tasks people ping you to do, like add an event.
@RadvylfPrograms someone suggested last time that all 10k rep users become ros. That’s a bit much, but i think you could make basically every active and maturish user here an ro if they ask for it
Regardless: I'll leave the pin up for a week or so, then, if we want an election, I'll start a meta thread for nominations a bit after that. If we want a chat election/apppointment from us ROs, then updates will come shortly after
I would be fine with appointing lyxal as an RO, if we do appointing. Lyxal was almost tied with me in the last RO election, and was even winning for quite some time, and as much as I complain about the one or two incidents a year or two ago, I believe lyxal would be a competent RO. Plus, in the same way that Adám's trusted to be an RO because of the APL orchard, Vyxal's another large room on the site and lyxal's RO'd that for a while. And lyxal's also super active and in a non-US/UK timezone.
@user The thing is, ROs can have fairly effectual powers if used right. We generally don't use our powers, because this room (mostly) moderates itself, but if someone wanted to, they could easily abuse them
I can't remember the name of the room, but when the election was going on, we had a room for people to test RO powers, and lyxal took that over immediately and installed himself dictator
While that was kinda funny as a testing room, if someone wanted to, they could cripple TNB that way
Yeah, I got my main sock (GFS) to 500 rep pretty easily, 10k would take some dedication but not overly much, especially if you made a simple golfing language and consistently FGITW'd with it
that's something I find acts as a reasonable measure of security - the amount of trouble an RO could cause us is a lot less than the amount of trouble we could cause them should they intentionally try to commit abuse, and to be honest, I have very little suspicion any of you would intentionally cause harm; at worst you'd be ineffective ROs
