3-week Christmas holiday, 1-week intersemestrial break and 1 week Easter break + Summer

We have 1 week at the end of October, 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Feb, 2 weeks at Easter, 1 week in May then 6 weeks of summer

Your breaks are better balanced but we have more break time during a school year overall, it turns out.

Primary school (grades 1-4) pupils get a break in October too but we don't :(

And yes it is Hell.

And btw the Easter break doesn't even really count for some of us because all the national competitions are wholly during that break... Which is again hell because between February and June there's no real break...

@flawr Absolutely all national phases of all olympiads (eg NMO, NPhO, NChO, NBO etc. where NXO is National X Olypiad)

And the qualifying rounds for the international phases are also held in that period
