Now we will focus on φ → (A → A). This can't be the result of introducing any of our axioms (why is left to the reader), so it must once again be a modus ponens.

but (~A -> ~A) -> (A -> A) matches that

setting φ = (~A -> ~A)

and (¬φ → ¬ψ) → (ψ → φ) is an axiom

To be clear, I'm not proving anything, I'm just showing my thought process for arriving at the proof.

The end result is still valid. I can show that it is the shortest valid proof, but I just wanted to show an example.

@Downsheep a.b should be a property b that the object a has, not a representation of a. If you're casting to a different type, it should be a function/method.
