Q: Can my favourite team still become Football Champion?

vaugeAs a fan of an at most moderately successful footballBE team, towards the end of the season I often wonder whether my favourite team still has any theoretical chance left of becoming champion. Your task in this challenge is to answer that question for me. Input You will recieve three inputs: t...

Sometimes there's no best way, and you have to settle with something that gets you shouted at the least :-D

Well they tab completed here, so I tried but no answer yet.

@ØrjanJohansen you can't I think unless they've been to TNB

Q: Build a staircase for my kid

Carlos AlejoThe other day, my son asked me to build him a staircase using Lego-ish blocks. And I came up with something like this: Then my kid asked me for a program using the least number of bytes that generated a similar staircase in a computer screen. I am not that good at code-golf, so I need your hel...

Q: Make your keyboard into a keyboard

user69279Task You should write a program that when a button is pressed, it outputs a different sound for each key. The keys that you will use are: 1!2"34$5%6^78*9(0qQwWeErtTyYuiIoOpPasSdDfgGhHjJklLzZxcCvVbBnm The notes begin at C and each key above adds one semitone. Lets make it slightly easier for...

The hardest problem in CS is conveying sarcasm while on SE.

Can't tell if that's sarcastic...

My point has been made. (ノ°Д°)ノ︵ ┻━┻

i remember the days when people still programmed in low-level languages such as untranspiled javascript

I remember the days when people actually used programming terms properly

Wtf Windows won't let me chose a custom application as the default browser
I have the choice between Edge and an application in the Win store

@TuxCopter have you try not using window? :P

@TuxCopter That is obnoxious. Chrome and FF show up as well for me so maybe you can "install" your thing in the same way such that windows recognizes it as a browser?

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command is set to Firefox, but it won't work
Windows is confusing

@ETHproductions question: do we want to revive tools.js? I started on a v2 a couple months ago but wasn't sure what dircetion to take it

8:48 PM
I don't know. I don't have a whole lot of time right now, and I'm not sure it'd be worthwhile anyway to keep working on it

Windows is sad.
Gotta make sure https is also set to firefox.

https is also set

9:20 PM
Come on, can we get this re-re-opened?
> Differences: the string has to be converted to lowercase, all non-alphabetical characters have to be removed, there's no need for a trailing space.

Q: Print a shuffled deck of cards

MendeleevInput None Output 52 cards. No duplicates. Cards are represented as their unicode characters, e.g. 🂹. These follow the following format: The first three digits are 1F0. TIL this plant
Brugmansia is a genus of seven species of flowering plants in the family Solanaceae. They are woody trees or shrubs, with pendulous flowers, and have no spines on their fruit. Their large, fragrant flowers give them their common name of angel's trumpets, a name sometimes used for the closely related genus Datura. (Datura differs from Brugmansia in that they are herbaceous bushes, with erect rather than pendulous flowers - and most have spines on their fruit). Like many ornamental plants, all parts of Brugmansia can be toxic. All seven species are listed as Extinct in the Wild by the IUCN Red List...
tl;dr: lsd plant

One user can just decide to make a question closed

Especially when he doesn't even leave a reason

I spent a while writing an answer in Decimal and I really wanted to post it but before I got back online it was closed :(

Q: Count the number of "e"s in a string without using the letter "e"

zeveeYour code may not contain the letter "e", but must count the number of "e"s in the inputted string and output that as a number. Bonus points if you use a language that is not a codegolf language and a language that actually uses the letter e (unlike brainfuck) --- not a required criteria

@MDXF not different enough IMO
if it's ro'ed imma vote to close

:I

9:52 PM
it doesn't change the base algorithm

Well it kind of does

you can convert the whole thing to lowercase and remove non-[A-Za-z] and then apply the other challenge
that's not the algo change
that's just modifying the input you feed in

Well, while I was writing an answer in Decimal, I realized that I had a fatal flaw in the language
But I could've answered the other one just fine

Q: Insert a simulated Ken Thompson virus into a program

@DJMcMayhem is there way to search all buffers in vim

@Downgoat No, but I have workaround in my .vimrc:
function! BuffersList()
  let all = range(0, bufnr('$'))
  let res = []
  for b in all
    if buflisted(b)
      call add(res, bufname(b))
    endif
  endfor
  return res
endfunction

function! GrepBuffers (expression)
  exec 'vimgrep/'.a:expression.'/ '.join(BuffersList())
endfunction
Found on stackoverflow somewhere. No idea how to use it even lol

Wait, Websockets aren't effected by Same-Origin policy..?

Prolly not useful unless everyone uses it

I don't code because it's useful.
I code, because it's interesting.
if(typing.find((x,y)=>x==connId?typing.splice(y,1)))
	updateTyping();
I like this line.
It's a nice line.
