I still don't get why browser don't block new windows by default. I mean any window that is created other than by the user pressing "New Window". There is no UI/UX reason to ever open a new window and 99% of them are ads.
No, many popups escape the popup filter on all latest browser. uBlock et al can only block the content but not the creation of the popup.
They will then request permissions and hook onbeforeunload to make it annoying to close
You wouldn't need a popup filter if new windows were blocked by default. Or at least canonically redirected into new tabs (without focus capture) so I can ignore them.
So cheddar has had dictionaries for a couple months now but no one knows they even exist so I'm hoping adding ability to get value from key will help their popularity
