10:16 PM
just found this answer in Geometry Dash objects, if i were to answer a challenge in this "language" how would it be scored? this post uses # of objects, but each object can contain metadata
i think there is a way to download a GD level as a file, but i assume it is a lot more bytes than is reasonable

yesterday, by lyxal
hey why are all the links blue?

@Jacob Use the file download
Scoring is per-language

hm alright -.-
i have no idea how to download it tho lol i think u have to do some weird stuff w the api
oh nvm
well theres a way to do it but its only for windows :(

windows go brr
(dont get me wrong linux is better)

im on mac lol
close enough -.-

Q: Count the number of disjoint 11 blocks

Falk HüffnerThe task is to count the number of disjoint 11 blocks in a 64-bit word, using the minimum number of straight-line instructions. That is, how many nonoverlapping neighbored pairs of 1-bits can be found. Examples (imagine leading zeros to fill up to 64 bits) Input Output 111111 3 ...

I applied the former, but it could be the latter

@lyxal Seems like a classic to me

Guys, I don't know why but I got stuck.

well duh, 248 isn't a valid sudoku number
neither is 148, 14, 12, 34 and 23

@lyxal Oh yes, of course, hahaha
My brain hurts from looking at this sudoku so long.
I fell down the Cracking The Cryptic rabbit hole

10:44 PM
@AviFS Looks like there are multiple possible solutions. Is there another condition besides the regular Sudoku rules?

@DLosc Ooh, are you a Sudoku guy?
How did you know about the variants!

@AviFS I think I've seen a couple Cracking the Cryptic YouTube videos

Yes, but I believe it's irrelevant now. So there should be a unique solution with just normal sudoku rules at this point.
I've never really done Sudoku before. It always seemed excruciatingly boring. But then I stumbled on CtC and these endlessly creative variants, and got intrigued.

@AviFS 6th column from the left has outer clue 4 5, so you can enter a 4 below the 9 in that column

@DLosc Fudge.
Thank you.
I'm an hour into this thing, haha. And this was supposed to be an easy one. They speedran 5 of this difficulty in 30 minutes, lol
@DLosc How were you able to tell so quickly that it was ambiguous?

10:51 PM
I just started making guesses for the not-filled-in squares and seeing where they led. Multiple different guesses led to a correctly completed grid.

But like, how? Did you actually annotate it in an image viewer? Or did you just do that all in your head?
Also, thank you so much. I really was going crazy, thinking there was some advanced trick I was missing. I was scouring the wikis, reading through these techniques, and then staring back at the puzzle unable to apply them.

@AviFS Yeah, I pasted the image into MS Paint and started scribbling over top of it with the pencil tool. :) Normally, that'd be too messy for Sudoku purposes, but since there was so little to fill in, it was fine.

@DLosc Thank you, thank you.
Now I'll go watch CtC do it in 30/5 = 6 minutes, haha

I use swaroopg92.github.io/penpa-edit when solving a sudoku-like on a PC

@Bubbler Interesting, mine was here, which is where the channel links all of their stuff.
I'll have to see if there's a way to export/import.
Also, hello fellow Sudoku-like solver.

11:59 PM
Anyone had a chance to look at how merge queues work on github yet?
