11:00 PM
I know a tiny bit of projective geometry, but probably not the answer to anything useful

I want to do 3D reconstruction

@Ponponhollamon Ok, can you concisely state what your problem is?

I've done rectification and have matched 2D points. I want to create a 3D model out of them, I've done the math for it. Can you check it?
Yes, let me type it out

@Ponponhollamon I can't; I barely know anything about that (and it's not what I would call projective geometry anyway). Are you just trying to orient triangles?

@Ponponhollamon is literally confused on what was being asked

11:04 PM
Uhh.. 3D reconstruction uses a lot of projective geometry, you cannot derive it's basic equations without it.
Thank's it's fine if you cannot help me, I'll ask somewhere else.

@Ponponhollamon That makes sense, but I only ever spent time with finite projective planes. Good luck finding help (maybe ask on math.se)

@Ponponhollamon I mean, I'd get if if it was abstracted into the realm of "inputs and outputs" what exactly are you inputting and what exactly do you want out of it?

11:27 PM
I'm super bored... CMC: Given a number n and a sign [one of (+/-*)] output the 1-10 table of the multiplication, division, subtraction or addition table in a format of your choosing.

@MagicOctopusUrn APL, 7 bytes: ∘.⎕⍨⍳10

@Adám I'm mostly confused at how you've shifted the negative signs ¯1 (though it's valid) haha!

@MagicOctopusUrn You mean the opposite of Jelly?

@Adám I actually would not know, I've yet to use Jelly.
@Adám Is there a reasoning for this shift upwards?

@MagicOctopusUrn Yes, APL uses prefix functions with no parentheses for application, lists are space separated, and arithmetic maps automatically. So we need to disambiguate 5 -1 2 (which gives 4 3) and 5 ¯1 2 which is just the literal list.

11:41 PM
@Adám APL is so WEIRD in the smartest of ways.

@MagicOctopusUrn TI-Basic uses the same convention with - vs ¯. From Wikipedia: To help tell the difference between a subtraction operation and a negative number, occasionally the negative sign is placed slightly higher than the minus sign (as a superscript)

@Adám I REMEMBER NEVER KNOWING WTF THAT WAS FOR.
@Adám You've solved a childhood mystery of mine, and therefore are owed a debt of... well, probably something or another.

@MagicOctopusUrn Learning APL.

@Adám Cries in acceptance, he will promise to answer a question in APL.

@MagicOctopusUrn oh don't try, I nail 'bout half of them, and Adam the other half

11:49 PM
@Adám I've always been intrigued by APL, then I saw this: dyalog.com/meet-team-dyalog.htm and was even more intrigued. I feel like if I saw all of you walking down the street menacingly toward me... i'd be super intimidated.

Funky is now beating Python :P

@Adám By-the-by, how do you guys all work together? I've been wondering what your collaborations tools are?

@MagicOctopusUrn Best times to do APL FGITW is Friday afternoon–Saturday night, ≈Europe time. That's when the APL Jews are unavailable.

@MagicOctopusUrn ^ is how that program looks with some Syntax Highlighting.

@MagicOctopusUrn SVN, GitHub, email, appear.in, XMPP, Google Docs, phone, plane tickets, …

11:57 PM
@Adám Now, I could right a bot to automatically produce raw APL code if your claims about natural language transliation are solid... xD

@Uriel Possibly. Wolfram Alpha kind of does such a thing. However, writing a bot that will golf the code too is probably hard.

@Adám well, that's just for FGITWing and lolz
