12:00 PM
works now
Explanation: it first checks if c is empty. if it is, it moves up, places 0 in c, and places random move in x, and two random moves in z. and restarts
now c has something in it, it checks if z has something in it. if it does, it prints one move of z, and does this again, because nothing has changed.
now z has nothing in it, it goes back up one after it has checked c, then checked z, and prints the final bit from x
Kind of elegant
oh dudes, i forgot the <
dammit
#[~=[~=z[~=x[
?=x^c<
^z
*@?=
possibly a golfier way
not sure how to gen a random number between a non 2^n thing, though

I have an expansible usercard! \o/

@LegionMammal978 y u do dis ;_;
@zʏᴀʙiɴ101 \o/

Electric Unipants is going to take off his electric suit. @MartinEnder, update my profile.

oh god
WATTTT

I'm getting out of here!

12:12 PM
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
y u do dis ;_;

Ah wait, I can switch to PPCG and try to get my new avatar from there.
Switched parent users, now waiting for the new avatar...

i alredy see your avatar
;_;

New avatar applied for me!

12:27 PM
I see I lost my small caps.
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ, @CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ, I lost my small caps. Q_Q

Chance.js can, apparently, generate random Gravatars.
I have an older version that I should update, so it gives things like:
>>> new Chance(1).avatar()
"//www.gravatar.com/avatar/646df9d592c1d4b100d6ac468a73b47a"
Which, with the help of several parameters, can make random Identicons.
(just look at the URL ;3)
>>> chance.VERSION
"1.0.3"
1.0.3 changes the algorithm: with the new version, new Chance(1).avatar() gives "//www.gravatar.com/avatar/1e711aa5a7386a84ebd893383b4067bf"

@zyabin101 how are you so sure the algorithm is different

@MᴀʀsUʟᴛᴏʀ The URLs given by avatar() of 1.0.3 and avatar() of an older version (idk which exactly) don't match.

12:37 PM
owait
1 is the seed, right?

@MᴀʀsUʟᴛᴏʀ Yup.

@zyabin101 Fun fact: adding ?d=identicon to the end of any Gravatar URL makes it into a unique identicon depending on the hex string

@LegionMammal978 yeah
7 mins ago, by zyabin101
Which, with the help of several parameters, can make random Identicons.

@MᴀʀsUʟᴛᴏʀ Oh, come on, I discovered that yesterday

@LegionMammal978 And you also have parameter f equal y to guarantee the avatar being an identicon.

12:39 PM
i have been disconnected from SE ಠ_ಠ

@TùxCräftîñg How exactly?

@zyabin101 idk

Also, any non-hex-string gives identicon #0

12:52 PM
^ my old identicon

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ morning

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ monrign

Oh yeah, that's right, my invisibility field has run out of power for the day

so he is a spy ._.

12:55 PM
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ I lost my small caps.

i noticed
i don't really care

._.

ahhh js lambdas this is not the same as functions this

@zyabin101, @LegionMammal978, @TùxCräftîñg, while this RTRFTD stuff hasn't really gotten to the point of spam yet, it is a frequent topic that spawns lots of messages. Therefore, I suggest you guys make a room for it, and I can move the most recent conversation there if you'd like.

@El'endiaStarman I'll do it.
Maybe just make a room for the Game of Life in its entirety?
Then we can discuss not just the RTRFTD stuff, but the Game of Life and Life-like automata entirely.

Golfed 5 bytes off the "print a lego piece" challenge.

@zyabin101 go for it
@DrGreenEggsandIronMan Once, while I was at school, I downloaded tcc and wrote an expandable s'more generator

1:28 PM
@LegionMammal978 s'more?

A s'more (sometimes spelled smore) is a traditional nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada, consisting of a fire-roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker. National S'mores Day is celebrated annually on August 10. The Guinness World Record for number of people making s'mores at one time was 423, set April 21, 2016 in Huntington Beach, California. == Etymology and origins == S'more is a contraction of the phrase "some more". Although the exact origin of the treat is unclear, reports about scouts from as early as 1...

S'mores: a campfire delicacy.

@El'endiaStarman TS

(Google is your friend)

and what is a expandable s'more generator

1:29 PM
@TùxCräftîñg It made s'more ASCII art with an adjustable cracker width

I wasn't able to make the height adjustable by the end of the school year
In fact, by now the compiler and all my programs have probably been wiped off the school's servers by this point

 Game of Life and Life-like automata

Discussion for the Game of Life and Life-like automata, which ...

wait
in unicode lambda is named LAMDA

@TùxCräftîñg ?

1:31 PM
@El'endiaStarman ^^^^ move the RTRFTD conversation there.
@El'endiaStarman?

@zyabin101 Hey, it took some time to select all the messages to be moved. (And I accidentally unselected all the messages when I was close to the end. >_<)

Ah k :)

@TùxCräftîñg i doubt every does

I wrote up a tutorial for Grime. Comments are welcome.
@Dennis And could you pull Grime, please?

2:47 PM
@Mego How to use ╪ and ╡?

@LeakyNun carefully
Also, someone should probably unfreeze the Seriously room.

@zyabin101 Somewhat unnecessary if Leaky Nun just has a simple question.

Is there an english word equivalent to behead/decapitate but for the tail?

@Fatalize Y a-t-il un mot ainsi en francais?
:31253536 "abcde" -> "bcde" is called behead

@LeakyNun Don't think so

2:58 PM
then what is "abcde" -> "abcd"

betail
(sounds stupid)

@Fatalize curtail

(also not cool because it's the same first letter)

Docking is the removal of portions of an animal's tail. While docking and bobbing are more commonly used to refer to removal of the tail, the term cropping is used in reference to the ears. Tail docking occurs in one of two ways. The first involves constricting the blood supply to the tail with a rubber ligature for a few days until the tail falls off. The second involves the severance of the tail with surgical scissors or a scalpel. The length to which tails are docked varies by breed, and is often specified in the breed standard. At least 170 dog breeds have naturally occurring bob tail lines...

Yup, and my parent site too. ;_;

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ I wanted the avatar to change quicker.

Random avatars best avatars :)
@aditsu yeah, the "online explanation" website didn't list it. Or I didn't see it correctly

ven
3:10 PM
Yes, that's what I ended up using :)

that's the official doc

@LeakyNun of course, curtail doesn't work on window's strings >_> with a CRLF at the end
I always have to do -. CR

@ven This is the same Unipants, not a random avatar.

ven
uuh, sure

Just that he took the electric suit off.

ven
3:12 PM
I meant my avatar is random

I think it's auto-generated from your email address, not random

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ lol

is it reversible?

@aditsu It is generated from one's email address.

..that's what I said

3:15 PM
he's confirming it as a fact as opposed to your speculation

ven
I don't have an email address
so my avatar changes randomly every few hours :)

TIL xnor uses is user page as a code golf reference

3:37 PM
@Zgarb Done.

ven
@LeakyNun you're like the google translate of PPCG, for golfing languages :P
except making more sense

oh. for golfing languages.

3:55 PM
@Dennis Thanks!
