@Zizouz212 what i do
@Downgoat did you see my cheddar script???

You started pings.

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ :O you wrote something in cheddar?!?

oh :|

12:02 AM
I meant I started reading the source/testing in repl.
@Downgoat >_> cheddar is confusing compared to python.

You started pings.

I am learning it though.

Python is life

@Zizouz212 elaborate?

Someone pinged me in Scouting

12:02 AM

I blame you.

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ what is confusing about it?

plank + openbox = dece

@Downgoat syntax mainly
I gtg, bye!
DIR="$( cd "$( dirname "${BASH_SOURCE[0]}" )" && pwd )"
command="git clone github.com/cheddar-lang/Cheddar.git; cd Cheddar; eval npm install;echo 'alias cheddarrepl=\"node $DIR/Cheddar/dist/interpreter/tests/t_repl.js\"' >> ~/.bash_profile"

if [ -f ~/.bash_profile ];
then
   if grep -q 'cheddarrepl' ~/.bash_profile
	then
		echo "Script already ran, or remove the any mentions of `cheddarrepl` from your .bash_profile."
	else
		if [ ! -d ~/Cheddar ];
		then
			eval $command
		else
			echo "Please delete the Cheddar directory before retrying."
oh script:

12:05 AM
@Doorknob Are you still gonna use i3 with your new Arch Linux setup?

yep

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ oh, cool! do you want to add this to the install repo?

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ kinda almost works on linux

@QPaysTaxes is that the only file for Conacaten or does it have other files as dependencies?
ok, cool.
PyPy?
nvm, brew install pypy works
> It is currently 1717, 05/19/16
1717?
maybe it meant to do 17:17 -> 5:17?

12:19 AM
oh ok
Hello @BlockCoder1392!

docs say print is a thing though?
oh ok

;_; I can't add 4 and avocad

"conacaten"? Twah spelingl si taht?

@QPaysTaxes ._. ironic as the language's name sounds like concatenate

Ugh, I have to get up in two hours and can't sleep...

@mınxomaτ think of it this way: you got up two hours early

WhyWhy?
it rhymes... bad joke :p

12:28 AM
@QPaysTaxes Will do in a bit.

12:40 AM
hi
xkcd.com/72
Ok
this is sooo relevant (jk) xkcd #221

Random is fine. Out-of-context is okay.
Otherwise, I agree.

relevant xkcd: xkcd.com/1267

@QPaysTaxes you didn't?? ???? ? ? ?? ?/ ?? ?

@Downgoat YouTube that doesn't end in "XcQ"......I'm still really suspicious. Let's see what it's like oneboxed.

@Downgoat ^^

12:46 AM
AHA BUSTEEEEED!

@El'endiaStarman :|

git push origin <branch> responds with (you need to git pull)... and then git pull responds with Up to date >_<

maybe you're pulling the wrong branch your wrong upstream source?

@El'endiaStarman so it has to be xkcd.com/4 (chosen by a fair dice roll)

I don't really know, but it works now ;-;
@Downgoat this is my favourite xkcd: xkcd.com/404

+1 not a rickroll, -1 for...uh...I guess there's no real reason.

10 hours of pleasure on the sax train.... choo choo
@QPaysTaxes it was me who posted it <-_-<

@QPaysTaxes ;_;_;

oh

12:53 AM
Downgoat oneboxed what Quill linked to.

Up to you... Language implementations don't get all that much specific advice, so meh anyway
It'd probably be worth bugging people here to review it once it's over there

I was actually thinking earlier "Are you trying to lure me into Code Review?!". :P

that would involve people here making CR accounts, which would never happen

@Downgoat @Quill is there an equivalent of window in node js?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ global

1:02 AM
global

@Maltysen Well, that's already happened a few times...

what functions are you trying to access on it anyway

I'm making a use statement >_>

Anyone know how to enable ecmascript mode on retina?

1:03 AM
not possible iirc

@El'endiaStarman yeah, those users are blasphemers :P

same

Well of course. Both of you started on CR.

That's the most difficult way to start out.

yeah you guys don't count. We're happy that you crossed over here

1:04 AM
Won't be too long before my PPCG rep surpasses my C.SE rep though...

huh
I don't remember being an asshole, I was trying to be nice ;-;

you are nice

@PhiNotPi Really? I don't understand 90% of the stuff on here
I get the feeling new users starting here would feel the same

@Quill It was an ideological joke.

1:06 AM

okay

I think the majority of my PPCG rep has come from two things: Minkolang answers and a few really good challenges. :P

Unrelated: some friends and I are trying to make a ".io game" that'll go viral or something.

sounds realistic
Can you count Vertix as "going viral"

The weird thing about virality: it's really hard to do on purpose with original content.

1:08 AM
yeah.... they're pretty laggy

is there a online cjam tutorial

@QPaysTaxes that's cuz the game already started >_>

A: How should you arrange your chairs?

ThihtJavascript, 98 bytes My first code golf, so I post anyway! f=n=>{for(o=1/0,i=1;i<=n;i++)for(j=n;i*j>=n;j--)t=i*j-n+Math.abs(i-j),o>t&&(o=t,a=[i,j]);return a} Initially my o was an empty object and I checked if o.a was empty, so it was a special case at the first round. But I found the 1/0 tri...

that can probably be golfed a bit more

1:15 AM
@El'endiaStarman @Downgoat suggestions?

YASSS. Come-from-behind victory! :P

@El'endiaStarman did you write a bot to play something :P

Haha, no. I just sucked in the middle and got better towards the end.
I think there's a fairly significant luck aspect to the game. At least the way I was looking at it.

@El'endiaStarman care to explain? how were you looking at it?

Basically just darting my eyes around and I happen to catch the matches sooner sometimes.

1:20 AM
oic
would this be a bad thing in your opinion?

Uh, neither good nor bad? It's why I feel like there's a luck aspect. If the other players are doing the same, then it just comes down to whoever happens to notice the match first.

anyone want to play a game?

Q: Let's play ASCII mini-golf

AMACBLet's play code golf... by playing golf. Input Your input will be a string consisting of #'s, an o, an @, and .'s. For example: ......@.. .....##.. ......... ......o.. . - playable golf course (all shots must end on one of these) # - a barrier (shots cannot go through this) o - the starting ...

@El'endiaStarman I see. any opinions on the fact that the letters have the same color throughout the game?

someone should go into 123

1:22 AM
@Maltysen I didn't notice that, actually...

all of the bootstrap is belong to you

@El'endiaStarman I did that to make it easier, but then some people are commenting that it makes it a color based game vs. actually using the letters

@Maltysen Have you played it before?

@El'endiaStarman I made it ;P
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ uhhhh I don't mind, but can you give me screenshots at least?

1:24 AM
yeah
if someone joins
>_>

do you guys want to be terrified?
then look up bobbit worms

FR: let us watch games that are in progress

@Maltysen [blink]....oh.

@orlp pls don't post a pic of a spider

1:26 AM
@Downgoat this is much, much worse

anyone else before I start the match?

@Quill oooooh nice

don't step into this bad boy on the sea floor

okay, starting @Downgoat

1:27 AM
@Quill would this be a thing in the "Game already started dialog"? like "Game already started. Do you want to spectate? Yes/No"

hello from Arch

@Doorknob hello, Arch

@Downgoat you playing? o_O

he's really not ...

1:29 AM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ oh whoops I closed the tab out :|

;_;

I don't know about you guys but I'm really disappointed in Downgoat's performance during that last game

@Quill ಠ_ಠ

1:30 AM
@Quill so he wrote a Bot...

I vote we kick him off Survivor Island

not sure how to stop that

I have a few ideas

i'm prolly just allow that

not fully developed

1:30 AM
@Maltysen obscure the HTML + JS

@Quill s/Island/Barn/

@Maltysen idea 1: look for too rapid of an increase in points

don't make a browser game
that's usually a great way not to get riggidey rektd by @CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ

@Quill nah I'm gonna allow that, and just let the guys friends deal with him being an asshole. This philosophy and a bot being so easy to code has the additional benefit that I don't have to follow good security in terms of writing things client side.

goddamn it smallcaps

1:31 AM
2 people down today
function g(){f=e=>Array.from(e.children);A=f(card0).filter(e=>f(card1).map(e=>e.innerHTML).indexOf(e.innerHTML)>=0).shift()A.click();}setInterval(g,5);

oh hey I just got 2 rep on PPCG... only 9998 more left
for editing something <_<

^ that

@Maltysen Did you make this with php or something better?

except has 13^2 rep on PPCG

1:33 AM
eww who's that ugly fellow
all this game hacking reminds me of an answer I did a while ago:
10
A: "Star Catcher" game

QuillYour code is good, but you have one massive oversight: It's hackable. Your code shouldn't be accessable from the Console. I would recommend using getters and setters to limit incorrect addition: var protectedScore = 0; //abstracted away where it cannot publicly be reached GameClass.__define...

Anyone else in here use Finale?

+1, never handle sensitive game logic (i.e, score count) on the client. It can - and will - be abused. — Dan Pantry Jan 21 at 9:53
@Malty
not exactly the same thing tho

similar, but not the same

> Bot - 3230 points
Quillio - 30 points
Downgoat - 0 points

I literally abused the count variable, which you could probably do anyway

1:38 AM
I haven't tried that yet.

8 mins ago, by Quill
I don't know about you guys but I'm really disappointed in Downgoat's performance during that last game

I think his count variable is safe, they're hidden in a closure

they're never reaaaally safe... you can always set a breakpoint

really? I've never thought about doing it like that

On the subject of flashbacks... <_<

1:43 AM
@QPaysTaxes then I'm changing the source code

you can kinda do that with Chrome IIRC

or maybe that's CSS

probably css

but it only works for that tab, so it's kinda pointless unless you're gonna pwn the information going back to the server

1:51 AM
true

@Downgoat ecmascript mode is probably disabled on TIO

why would it be?

why is my html code doing this:
the second row
the image is not under the first object in the table

@impinball you couldve just said "You're welcome" instead of "Welcome filler to make SE happy" but whatever

its under the second object in the table.
its just a normal table

1:56 AM
overflow

with two rows, First row has 2 TD tags, second row has 1

sure

say you have 5 rows max width, you'd be trying to fit 6 rows on content in.... doesn't work

1:56 AM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ security

It's disabled in Vitsy too

@quartata why would exams door mode be a security hole?

@Quill but it can clearly fit 2 rows.

1:57 AM
<td><td><img class="image" src="Resources/Science/board2015.jpg"/></td></td>

@Quill ah. F*ck me. Im a Copy/pasting dumbass...
thanks lol

it seemed to fix it on jsfiddle but there were no images... so

@Downgoat that's not the message I was referring to

yup that fixed.

but anyways just try it locally

1:59 AM
@Quill yeah sorry they are local. Ill upload the whole thing to github when im done. Im writing a website for this school project thing.

cool :)

no. Not cool. Takes forever :(
