I need to check that out..
My current style

Yeah, let's see... his's called Exo 2, I think
Hmm, the "favorite" icon is just a blank hexagon

@Doorknob 17 hours and no one had posted a Retina answer to the Spanish conjugation challenge yet. phew... :) (I saw it this morning and thought it would be really simple in Retina, but didn't have time to tackle it until now.)

Wait, Exo 2 is just for the header
Ah, it's Source Sans Pro
Oh shoot, I'm almost out of votes on PPCG meta

elections do that.

Maybe I shouldn't have upvoted all of the suggested categories on that page...
(jk, I didn't upvote them all)
"You have 2 votes left today" Well there would be a ton more left if people would just stop posting good suggestions for categories!!!

6:17 PM
@JAtkin nahh

@ETHproductions then you'd have to downvote them instead though :P

@JAtkin I don't like the transparency of the questions box.

I wish we could have one unified userscript instead of like ten

You get to pick and choose the best parts

I'm no good at dissecting javascript

6:20 PM
Maybe I'll create one where you can separately specify which spritesheets, fonts, and backgrounds you want to use

I mostly just want Conor's style with Downgoat's buttons/badges
I was under the impression that was what we agreed on, at least

Well, if we want to come up with a "final design for graduation" then we should start organizing an attempt to combine these userscripts.

Yeah.
It would be easier if we could get Conor to actually work on the userscript cracks whip

Move this conversation over to the design room?

Slightly more customizable version
@PhiNotPi Sure, can only mods do that?

6:27 PM
Or at least we can continue talking over there.

Hey guys

@MartinBüttner It's hard to tell from all the 20-byte solutions labeled "super duper cheating," but it does in fact appear that primo set a new record on anarchy golf: golf.shinh.org/l.rb?bf
Cool stuff.

@quartata Oh, I didn't even check the plain helloworld challenge.

:P

I like how ev3 submitted it as well...
@quartata I had just seen this: golf.shinh.org/p.rb?Helloworldless+Hello+world but it also has 92 just as the plain HW

Now who could this fellow be ;)
@Mauris have you betrayed us? Have you gone to the dark side... of Anarchy Golf?

an improvement of 11 bytes is absolutely crazy. I really wonder though what the actually optimal solution would be (and whether the program would still make sense to a human).

lol

7:08 PM
@MartinBüttner well, the search space is down to only like 2^244 possible programs now. We could probably brute force that in less than a year with a distributed search...

geokavel 🐸🐸 You must make the shortest program to always find the optimal solution to a simplified Frogger game on a 9x9 grid. Course Elements: L - Log (Length: 3-4). @quintopia 2^244 is about the number of elementary particles in the universe.

TanMathStart a word with the end of a word When I was younger, I use to play a word game. It was very simple. @ThomasKwa good to know. Obviously we need some good heuristics to weed out programs that could never work without executing them, and a good portion of the planet's computational resources to work with. But even if it takes 1 second to run each program, we can still brute force the full, un-streamlined set in only 9E56 years! According to current theories that means we could know BEFORE the heat death of the universe. And that's assuming only a billion computers are working on it!

7:23 PM
what do you guys think?

@TanMath that game is called Geography. It is known to be PSPACE-complete. If it's not a duplicate, it is a good challenge.
how do I put spoilers in an answer?

@quintopia >!

thx

>! Hello! this is some really big spoiler
come on! it doesn't work in chat!

7:29 PM
@quintopia it is called a word chain... thanks!
Do you think there are enough testcases?
ok... so there is a similar challenge that uses the three last letters... would mine be a duplicate?
actually nvm.. that challenge is not even a code golf challenge

@TanMath About your sandbox challenge: should the output sequence be maximal in some sense

@quintopia i have put a link in the question...do you want me to put this one instead?
@Zgarb ?

@TanMath Accidental enter...

@Zgarb true, but it depends on the input list...
Do you mean you want me to say that " you must print thr longest possible sequence"?

@TanMath No, this is for your own interest

7:50 PM
@TanMath Either that, or "a sequence that cannot be extended anymore".

@quintopia oh, ok..
@Zgarb ok, thanks!

Will all the input words be lowercase ASCII only? And can the input list contain duplicates?

@Zgarb all will be lowercase ASCII...the list may not contain duplicates...

@TanMath Ok, good. That's all the clarifications I can think of now.

@Zgarb Thank you, I will put all of this in the challenge specifications!

Riker is my middle name, and the only one I use.
@Rainbolt lol

@Rainbolt you can use Grainbolt

8:49 PM

Is anyone else in here using a FitBit?

No.

8:51 PM
I hate wearing a separate thing than my watch
so most probably gonna buy chronos for my watch
unless it tracks more stuff than my phone already does

My resting heart rate was 81 for the entire holiday, when I was running twice a day. Now at work it is 68, which seems really low.

Anybody know how to find a persons google docs given their account?

Makes me think this thing is a piece of crap, since your resting heart rate is supposed to be about the same every day (because it's your heart rate when you are resting)

well, it does not track anything more than steps.. so its a tough call.
@Rainbolt there are things called high BP and low BP

8:54 PM
Chronos or FitBit?

when act even when you rest
@Rainbolt not really. more like "oh something more than just step count without an additional wearable"
@Rainbolt oh and i was talking about chronos

This thing gives me a graph of my sleep so I can see what times during the night I was woken up or restless or sleeping soundly
It gave me a smiley face when I had ten hours of uninterrupted sleep

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ That would be assuming that "Rain" is @Rainbolt's first name. I'm fairly certain his real name isn't "Rain Bolt." :P

His name is "??? Rainbolt"

I'll make his first name Fish and his middle name Pontchart

9:45 PM
@NewSandboxedPosts thank you! I am pretty sure this is a dupe

"Fish Pontchart Rainbolt"... I like the sound of that :)

There is no need to thank the feeds bots. They are cold, unfeeling robots.

Q: What counts as a duplicate on CodeGolf.SE?

NathanielUnlike on other Stack Exchange sites, the execution of an idea really makes a difference on this site. @Rainbolt Probably. Idk, I still think it's a cute name.

Her grand kids will still be calling her peach child
When she is 85

Her grandkids will probably call her grandma when she's 85

Maybe she'll get remarried
