Q: "No description" filter on tags page

Me either. But it got to the point that I wasn't even using it. It literally just got to them and disappeared.

Having a filter for no description would be helpful because then the tag editors can quickly tell which tags they need to make desciptions for.

How would I go about getting this implemented?

Sometimes I'm forced to ignore someone on my team for some reason. Can a player I've ignored still see my chat/pings? Can I see their mini-map pings?

@Rapida My other spells were doing damage. It just wasn't until very late-game that it was doing any significant damage. His Q never did damage though.

Either you're somehow always just far enough that your shot expires in range... or something along those lines. It's his second best damage spell, if I'm not mistaken.

@Tristan I tried showing @RonanForman the secret. He was lagging pretty bad so it wasn't the best tour.

It was still pretty good.

@GraceNote There were several instances where it went through them and fizzled out behind them.

I don't think I've heard the term "lag eater" since my Trench Wars days, but... well...

That or you're just missing. Somehow. I'm not really sure how this is that you can have such a pitiful experience because Q is part of Brand's bread and butter.

@GraceNote I definitely wasn't missing. I did miss once because of clicking awkwardly a few times. But for the most part, it was just passing straight through them. I'd be willing to chalk it up to lag though.

My connection was worse than usual last night.

Lag or just poor hitbox aiming. Let's not talk about the tiny size of Ahri's skill shots, for example.

It looks like it should hit, and yet... whif.

Well... I'll give him another shot when I get to a better connection, and hope for the best.

Yes. I haven't been a candidate for anything else that I know of.

The primary reason I didn't upvote you in the primaries is because in your own pitch you said we should vote for other people. I commend your effort for standing up but even in the face of strong adversaries, that's not something you should advertise in a spot like that.

Think of it like going to a job interview and telling the interviewer that you're not the best person for the job. Even if you don't believe you're necessarily the best person for the job, you don't say that. The interview, like the nomination posts, is where you're supposed to market yourself.

I understand the analogy, but I'm still part of this community even if I'm not a mod (not usually the case in job interviews). The best thing for the community was not for me to win. In the future, if I think I am the best (or one of the best) I will not say things like that.

Your heart is in the right place, and I like that, so in terms of liking you, that's a good thing. In terms of your candidacy, it made you a horrid choice.

There were a lot of factors in me deciding to run. Actually winning was least among them. The main purpose was to actually put myself out there (pretty far outside my comfort zone) and see how I did. I knew I had no chance, but I took the THC very seriously and answered the questions as though I had any chance.

Now since I ran while I had no confidence in winning, I won't have any excuse not to run when I do think I have a shot.

I was honestly expecting a lot more feedback during the election. People asking me questions about my nomination. The lack thereof was kind of disappointing.

All I got was spleen jokes.

As someone who also didn't get a lot of questions during their election, I don't think that's a bad thing.

In this instance, I would have rather had negative feedback than no feedback. I can't improve if I don't know what to improve upon.

You're familiar with the system, you understand the community and its policies, you can see how things tick, you know when to fight and when to back down... you exhibit tons of good qualities. I'm afraid I'm not really good at fine-tuning things that are performing well, if the flaws aren't stand-out.

My major downpoint was that, whether or not you believed you had a chance at a running, you showed no confidence. I can take your word on that you'll improve that, but otherwise, I'm not seeing major points that you need to work on.

You can always improve at what you're already good at. Just don't obsess or make a mess while doing it - there's a big difference between someone who's naturally improving in their talents and someone who just makes a big show near the day-of-decision to try and curry favors.

If you want someone who can analyze even the slightest points, you should look at tzenes or Arda. I find they're pretty good at finding those things and helping you learn.

@GraceNote This is kind of why I pointed out my own flaws. I didn't want it to seem like I was trying to be someone new all of the sudden. I try to be upfront with things like that.

@GraceNote I don't think tzenes has really been about recently enough for him to be familiar with Origami

Also, @Origami, why don't you bring this up in The Bridge if you want more feedback? Given the population difference between here and there, I'd imagine you'd get more comments that could help.

@FallenAngelEyes tzenes doesn't need familiarity - he just needs to see your side.

Familiarity helps him know you, but knowing how you'll behave doesn't entirely rest on that. And honestly, having the perspective of someone who isn't familiar, I find, would be extremely helpful if you want to improve.

Negative. Meta is where site discussion happen. Otherwise, chat is usually brimming with people willing to talk.

I did have a random downvote a few days ago, no comment or anything. I'm not sure why someone threw a minus on it. One other answer had a downvote that sourced the same site so maybe they were just a hater for that website.

Those always bug me. If only they could comment or something.

What about answering a question, and then applying that answer to any other questions which it may cover?

Say for instance, someone wants to know how to install a game onto a separate hard drive, but it has to be in the Steam folder. So I write an answer about using a linked directory. Then, I see another question that could also be solved with a linked directory, so I pretty much copy+paste+edit my answer into another question. Rinse and repeat wherever applicable.

The answer is still entirely acceptable, but I felt guilty that it was the same as my other answer. Then I saw the feed, and…

@Lemmings19 If two questions can use the same answer, my first thought would be checking if they needed to be merged or tagged as dupes.

@Lemmings19 If it answers the question, I don't see the problem. I'm sure there are at least some instances of it being unique to the question, though.

I pretty much gave the same answer everyone else did, but I submitted some screenshots. Otherwise, same answer.

That one was pretty bad I felt, I didn't add a whole lot, yet I felt it would go unnoticed in the comments.

@Lemmings19 Screenshots can add clarity and thus make the answer better. because of this, they are also upvote magnets.

One question was how they could get an patch to go onto their game on a different drive, I suggested that if they couldn't find a solution, making a linked directory. The other one actually wanted to install Steam games outside of the Steamapps folder on their main drive. So, I don't think that one was a dupe, but the answer applied to both.

Indeed, when you can more easily tell things by someone just being out of lane or heading in that direction (that's how I got you coming top from the first video, for example), wards aren't as potent.
