18:03
nom, nom... (eating a mamon cake for the first time)
I just ate 4 ice creams today.
Only 4!
@M.A.Ramezani Only!?!
Well I have a record of nine.
Scoops, or cones, or cups?
Three cones, one scoop.
18:05
@M.A.Ramezani Oh, that reminds me of Swensen's!
@M.A.Ramezani Let me guess. One of them must be vanilla.
The scoop one was vanilla coated with chocolate.
Hah! I was half right!
The cones were vanilla with chocolate. And some grinded nuts embedded as an extension: .nuts
Hehe!
Well, I can't remember the last time I had my ice cream.
Probably almost two years already.
Well, you don't get snow there.
18:10
LOL
True!
If you don't live on ice cream, what wishes do you even have in life?
One of them was visiting a place where it's full of snow!
And I accomplished it! Once!
That's why you're alive then.
That's probably enough snow for my entire life. :P
Could be!
NO SNOW, NO LIFE.
Oh hullo @Man!
18:12
People here say, no water, no life.
Oh, that's probably very scientific!
Hello @Man_From_India!
18:26
hi @DamkerngT. and @M.A.Ramezani
was reading a bit of earlier msgs here...
@DamkerngT. there is a nursery rhythm here -"water water everywhere, not a drop to drink" :)
Here in India there is huge problem of ground water.The situation was not this bad. Actually everything was good. but now with population expanded, people are extracting more ground water.that caused a dip in ground water level, and in some places no water, where it used to be plenty of water.Agriculture is suffering a lot :) and people too for daily life :)
And that deserves a smile, why?
oh sorry wrong smiley :(
i am on phn, doing two things at a time :) talking with u here...and chatting on sms with another friend.
Well, anything linguisty you have to start some argument discussion?
18:38
ahhh :O
I think @Dam's still here and not looking for ice cream.
he watched a good movie in the evening. how was it @DamkerngT.?
@Man_From_India Maybe @Dam shut down for the night.
18:54
let him sleep...i wonder when he actually sleeps :) and even if he does it's for few hours.
you too...had ur dinner?
It's 23:25 here.
But no.
why? ur mom should scold u for being such a naughty kid :)
Certainly.
by the way why r u so late in taking dinner?
Welcome to the M.A.R's family habits reunion.
19:00
:)
off to sleep...it's 12:30 here...have to finish some urgent phn call real quick :)
Good night...see u...study well :)
Ba bye! Don't smile too much!
it makes my heart strong :)
and healthy ...
And your lower jaw hurt.
it's actually an exercise :D
Did you know that in laughing, more muscles are at work than crying?
It was 43 muscles, iirc.
19:08
:O ok
now going to sleep...good night...
G-night!
@Man_From_India Good night!
Welcome back @Dam!
Did you find ice cream?
It was a well-made movie!
@M.A.Ramezani Nope!
No ice cream? Your funeral.
19:14
Heh!
@DamkerngT. What movie?
Dawn of the planet of the apes?
The Dawn of the Planet of the Ape
Yes.
I love that movie.
Oh, there is not The before Dawn?
nods
Don't think so.
Did you enjoy it?
19:16
Too bad that "Apes not kill apes" didn't work.
@M.A.Ramezani Sure!
Yeah... I felt synchronized with Caesar.
Me too!
In a way, he tried his best.
But his best wasn't enough.
I wanted to beat the crap outta that...What was his name again?
Koba.
Kobu? Kubo?
Oh, Koba. :-)
Strangely, I can't remember any human's name!
Somehow, Dawn reminds me of Animal Farm.
Though the endings are very different.
19:18
That's better than mine!
Dawn reminds me of zombies.
Hah!
@DamkerngT. Malcom.
A lot of people died. That's the similarity. :-)
And I have watched it some months ago.
@M.A.Ramezani Oh, yes!
Do you have that kind of special memory?
What's the name? Hmm... photographic memory?
I can't recall what that means.
19:23
It's like being able to remember everything just seeing or hearing it once.
That must be a better name or better word for this.
Though I doubt if anyone really has that kind of memory.
> It occurs in a small number of children and generally is not found in adults.
Eidetic memory (/aɪˈdɛtɪk/) is an ability to recall images, sounds, or objects in memory after only a few instants of exposure, with high precision for some time after exposure, without using mnemonics. It occurs in a small number of children and generally is not found in adults. The word eidetic comes from the Greek word εἶδος (pronounced [êːdos], eidos, "seen"). == OverviewEdit == Eidetic memory is the ability to recall images in great detail after only a few minutes of exposure. It is found in early childhood (between 2 percent and 10 percent of that age group) and is unconnected with the person...
Interesting!
A-ha!
Thanks for the word!
Well, Um, thanks for categorizing me as children!
LOL!
Oh, it's from eidos in Greek.
What is not from Greek?!
19:26
Dunno. I think Germanic words, perhaps?
EVERYTHING is from Greek.
And I'm, like, completely impartial.
Oh, even Germanic words?
Completely.
@DamkerngT. Look at my profile :)
@DamkerngT. God first created Greece, then Aristotle, then the universe.
19:27
First Germanic word came to my mind: live.
@terdon Ahhh... I see now! :-)
@terdon Oh, Terdon is the modern name for Athena?
@M.A.Ramezani No. It's the modern name of Zeus.
Cool, so you have your statue destroyed.
19:30
Oh??
Today is the global annual for blood donation or something like that.
Well, my and @Dam's today, not @Terdon's.
It's the 13th here, still.
When was the last time I donated my blood...
Yep I figured, it's 0:00 here.
19:33
It was several years ago, I think.
@DamkerngT. Do robots have blood?
O.O
Apparently, this one has!
Well, I deny any possibilities of a chair cyclohexane having blood.
So no, I'm not donating anything.
Unless they dissolve me in DMSO, which is not the case here, sorta, kinda.

Q: Which one could help me better?

PMX128I am going to improve my English and want to speak and write fluently and better, There are two options or choices.one of them is to go to English classes taught by someone who has a BA and an MA and a phd in English literature or TESOL who has graduated from best university and who didn't live ...

Apparently, a lot of people still haven't figured it out...
It? Reading
19:36
that the best way to learn a second language is to be a significant someone of a native speaker. :P
Ahan. Good advice. I'm 16 and single, so...
It's a big, big world out there for you!
@DamkerngT. I'm pretty sure one of the ways is better punctuation.
Agreed.
Unlearning is probably one of the most unpleasant things in language learning.
@DamkerngT. Delete that message before my dad calls you a bad influence on me!
19:39
Good enough?
:D
Oh no, now my eyes are only staring at that message... Quick! Use reverse psychology!
It's too late! I can't edit it anymore!
Then let's chat until it disappears from my eyesight.
Okay, let's focus on punctuation...
. <-- period
, <-- comma
; <-- semi-colon
: <-- colon
What else?
<-- <--

Oh, oh! I love these:

Of course, brackets too!
$\leftrightharpoons$ <-- Left right harpoons.
~
19:42
What unicode characer is that?
;
`
@DamkerngT. which one?
Left right harpoons.
The tilde?
@DamkerngT. Do I look like a Unicode geek?
19:44
Well, you know TeX, I think. :-)
@DamkerngT. No no! The tilde is ~.
@DamkerngT. Only very elementarilillily.
Ah, I thought you were saying that it could be called left-right-harpoons, too.
Nah.
\leftrightharpoons creates something we use to indicate the reversibility of a reaction.
Now I'm curious to see the character!
Start chatJax @Dam and @Terdon!
And hullo @Delfino!
19:47
Oh, no! I don't want to!
Cool avatar!
@DamkerngT. Why not?
The last time I tried it, my browser got a death sentence!
$\mathrm{I \heartsuit \LaTeX}$
@DamkerngT. Hah!
Chat doesn't support it does it? $O_{2}$
nope
@terdon No, but chatJax works.
Though it will slow my browser down.
Badly.
19:49
@terdon No it doesn't... Not even when it should.
Like at sites like chem.SE and Math.SE.
Yes. We have LaTeX support (or MathJAx or whatever) in Biology but not in chat.
Not even on TeX - LaTeX I think.
Like this?
Yeah but that's an image, you're cheating!
@DamkerngT. Ugh I hate redox reactions.
19:51
That's really long harpoons!
@terdon The world flips around cheaters' fingers.
@DamkerngT. Because they wrote something on it.
And under it.
@terdon Hee
@M.A.Ramezani I can see that this character must be very useful of chemistry folks.
Oh, I wish I knew how to draw timelines in TeX.
It'd be really cool to explain tenses in a timeline diagram!
Talking about TeX, I think Iplodman hasn't been here for quite a while.
What's his new username again?
Harry something.
19:55
Oh, yes! HarryCBurn.
Kisses his eidetic memory
I love you eidetic memory! Even if they call me a kid!
@M.A.Ramezani envying... :P
I'm off the room. If I don't come back tonight it means that I'm sleeping. :D
Or hibernating.

1 hour later…
21:02
@M.A.Ramezani You there?
Never mind that.
