Is anyone familiar with the Travelling Salesman Problem?
I have had this idea that if one plotted the cities with x,y coordinates as pointwise weights on a rubbersheet one would get a natural sorting of the points by their resulting z-coordinates.
I posted it on main under the differential-equations tag and plotting.

Anyone know when Mma.SE was started? I was looking at the Stack Overflow Trends and noticed that Mma was growing but then dropped off and flattened in 2012. Wondering if that is a result of Mma.SE starting up.

@CarlLange Thanks. With the SE tools is there anyway to combine post numbers from Mma.SE to the SO.SE under the [wolfram-mathematica] tag
Would like a reasonable view of Mma popularity

@Edmund I'm sure it is possible, but I don't know how to do it. Maybe you'd find this blog post useful: blog.wolfram.com/2019/02/01/the-data-science-of-mathoverflow

@Edmund This chatroom began on 17 January 2012, and according to what was said ("we are all back to reputation =100"), it was the very beginning of Mma.SE Link

@Edmund though here there is a question in August 2011.

@CarlLange Thanks. Come to think of it I vaguely remember a Stack Exchange paclet. Maybe it was on Wolfram Community.
@andre314 Thanks.
