Can someone try the basic example for [VideoPlay]("12.1.0 for Mac OS X x86 (64-bit) (March 14, 2020)")? Is the video supposed to play in that Dynamic cell? I only get a black rectangle. macOS 10.14.6.
@Silvia, I am glad you like it. It is a start. A bit like TetGenLink and TriangleLink. I suspect that at some point we will see this ripple through the system into other functions. Also, since OCCT is open source we can make the link code available - it's not quite settled how this is going to happen tough.
@Silvia, not in the near or mid term future. Mainly because the list of requests is still quite long, for example I have not yet dealt with other more demanded requests like the adaptive mesh refinement request (this is a major request - and majorly complicated). Also, I must admit that I am not sure how much better these methods would perform compared to pure FEM. FEM is almost never the best method to solve a particular problem, but FEM is almost always a reasonable choice....
So, likely it would be possible to get better results for some examples, is that worth it compared to the problems we can not solve at all. I do not know what the answer to this is.
@user21 Fully understandable. Thanks for the work! I have only entry level knowledge on FEM, but one of my former colleague had research topic on mesh refinement algorithms in CFD. It looked quite complicated. I'm asking because I was accidentally looking into isogeometric analysis recently. (But I'm not qualified to compare it with pure FEM.)
@Silvia, Also note that because we have a symbolic representation of the region we can generate second order meshes that are more accurate than usual for FEM software.
@Silvia, let me also be honest here, I no next to nothing about IGA. There are many extensions to the FEM and to me it sounds a bit like this is another one. Maybe I am wrong.

@user21 Then I'll honest too, I'm still learning FEM and its kinds, currently just out of personal curiosity. Don't take my above questions as serious feature request! :)
If anyone feels like playing with graphs, checking that the latest IGraph/M works well with edge tagged graphs would be appreciated. Just think about ways to break it, and try :-) I am not aware of any failures in the current version, but I am certain that we will eventually find some.
@Szabolcs does not work for me on macOS or Windows. I get the same result as you on macOS 10.15.3. I noticed the doc's example file that gets loaded is an MP4, but the codec is VP9 (so maybe a codec issue), so I decided to try my own file that's plain H.264 and I can at least get the frame to display after the Dynamic, but as soon as I try to VideoPlay, it crashes again. Same on Windows.
