Q: \[DifferentialD] not displayed correctly in Mathematica StackExchange

\[DifferentialD] apparently does not have a Unicode representation, so I had to enter it directly in a reformatting of question 83672. However, I noticed that it is displayed in blue, as if it were an unknown variable. A minor issue, perhaps, but I think this should be fixed.

In a comment I was advised to ask at Mathematica.SE:

Hello Martin, you are right that mathematica.SE considers pure Alpha questions off-topic. So, no reason not to ask on math.SE. :)

Unfortunately, unless things have greatly changed, Alpha is not able to produce animations; you need an actual copy of Mathematica for that.

If we can find some kind of official source then this could be an answer to my question.

Although I would expect at least Pro version to be able to make some kind of animations if they want 5 USD/month for it. (Not that I am planing to purchase it.)

I doubt that they would easily make animation capabilities available for a mere five dollars, tho. :(

Wolfram claims that Pro can produce a CDF that animates, but I don't know how true is that, and I'm betting it can't produce GIFs from an animation.

Apparently so, but as I am stuck with using a friend's smartphone, I don't think I am ready yet to produce nicely TeX'd up answers on math.SE.

…but I have seen unanswered questions that I can deal with, as soon as I get my computer back.

Regarding this question, do you guys know any tools that can do purely edge routing if the vertex coordinates are given? I need something that can be controlled programmatically. yEd is good, but it's a GUI program.

@Mr.Wizard What I'm currently doing is to apply Imag[#,ImageSize->ImageDimensions[#]]& on the label

it works but I lots a lot of time to track this down.

Action menu in this case does not care and behaves properly.

So my controllers were varying with size and I was looking for the cause.

Only by accident I found out it is because of "automatic" behaviour...

$%^&, those incosistencies in default options are pissing me off -.-

I favor closing mathematica.stackexchange.com/q/20023 as a duplicate of mathematica.stackexchange.com/q/1300 or perhaps mathematica.stackexchange.com/q/5185 (which itself is closed but is a clearer formulation) as the solutions are essentially identical but for a Graphics instead of Graphics3D. I would like opinions before I act.

It's so great to be working on something and to hear that kernel-crashing "dunk" sound (at least on OSX). "It got considerably more complicated once again" tends to be my first thought.
