@XanderHenderson I've time-travelled a decade back in time and elaborated on the Question's context to the best of my ability. Hope it satisfies!
(to explain how this Question could be useful to new learners of Complex Analysis; its posted Answer certainly helped me then!)

Likely SE bug: dupe link is now blank on this question. Has anyone encountered anything like that before?

@BillDubuque It used to be that SE included the details of duplicate questions in the actual question text. As you can see from the revisions of that question, the duplicate question name & link text was removed by the OP when going from version 5 to version 6.

Q: duplicate box missing in old post

ajax333221This duplicated question was closed because being a duplicate, however, the dup box is missing (there are manually added links1 by a Mod though). Why is the duplicate box missing in this old post? 1 related post that shows the community reaction of manually adding dup links in posts.

@JohnOmielan Yes, I saw that but I wrongly presumed that SE had software that fixed up these old dupe links, and though it might be a bug in such software. @MartinR Thanks for the meta.SE link.

Q: Are there known lower bounds fo the values in a cycle in the Collatz graph?

Daniel S.I've found kind of the reverse what I'm looking for. I've found lower bounds for the length of a cycle when the cycle's members have a certain minimum value. For example, they can be found on wikipedia here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collatz_conjecture#Cycle_length I'm looking for the reverse...
