@user21820 I voted to close as "not about mathematics within the scope defined in the help center"

@Peter Same for me.

@ArcticChar What a shame ! This has been undeleted.

@Peter Yes. The question is absolutely unclear....

@Peter Up for deletion, as is another from the same source...
@ArcticChar We now can't delete-vote it. But you and others can. CC @TeresaLisbon @TheSimpliFire @JoséCarlosSantos

10:31 AM
@user21820 I can neither

@user21820 Which question is that?

@JoséCarlosSantos This one.

@user21820 Thank you. I've voted to delete it.

@user21820 I will need to wait for some days until its gets old. (just curious: can't you vote to delete multiple times?)

@ArcticChar I don't know what's up. Maybe @XanderHenderson knows?

An oldie with a new (now deleted) answer. Can probably be closed? How many ways 5 different books be distributed among 5 students‭ - cosmos713‭ 2015-05-11 11:18:53Z
@ArcticChar Yes, you can cast delete / undelete votes on the same question multiple times.
You can also cast close / reopen votes on the same question multiple times, but there is a long cooldown between votes.

@XanderHenderson No it doesn't work anymore. Something was changed very recently.

Oh. Hrm.

Q: Restrict the delete/undelete vote privilege to once per post

MachavityI am aware of the reasons delete has not been restricted before, but the reasoning has begun to unravel on Stack Overflow, where a fairly large pool of users now have access to that privilege. I give you exhibit A Yes, we can stop it by locking it (which I did), but locks are a poor tool here be...

There is some discussion of changing the way in which delete votes are permitted, but it doesn't look like any action has been taken, yet (note that the question is ).

@XanderHenderson Well whatever is publicly admitted, the fact remains that neither Peter nor I can vote again on that post. You probably can as a moderator, but not us.

If I understand correctly, you are trying to cast delete votes here: math.stackexchange.com/questions/4285969/… ?
Are you sure that you cannot cast a delete vote there? I don't see any reason why you should be prevented... @ArcticChar, also.
I have poked the CM team. I'll let you know when/if there is a response.

2:17 PM
@XanderHenderson I am sure, and @Peter confirmed as well. The system explicitly says I cannot vote twice. As I expected, JoséCarlosSantos can.

@XanderHenderson I can't vote to delete yet since the post is new and I am not a trusted user. It is weird that the Peter and user21820 can't (re-)vote though.

2:30 PM
Anyone wants to cast more votes on this crazily upvoted PSQ? @TeresaLisbon @TheSimpliFire @JoséCarlosSantos

2:44 PM
@user21820 One more delete-vote needed.

@Peter Thanks.

@user21820 It's gone.

@JoséCarlosSantos Great thanks!

@ArcticChar It is weird, but it is the case. Probably to prevent proper clean-up of unjustified undeleted posts like this.

As of sometime in the last day, it is no longer possible to cast more than one delete vote, or more than one undelete vote, on the same question or answer.

8:37 PM
@XanderHenderson Thanks.
